Jam Kolaches

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2012
I did not care for this recipe. The dough is very delicate and moist, but bland, maybe if there was some sugar in the dough it would be better. Won't be making these again anytime soon.

Ultimate Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2011
I was very disappointed with these cookies. They were bland and almost tasteless. I baked them for exactly 10 minutes, and they came out hard and crunchy. Then I baked them for 8 minutes and although they were softer they were still tasteless. I have a chocolate chip cookie recipe that people love, and I will stick to that one.

Beth's Spicy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2011
I just made these for my husband. I had one and thought they were very good, what he says though is what matters lol. Instead of using 1/2 cup of butter and a 1/2cup of flavoured shortening I used one cup of margarine. I do not like using butter in baking, I usually use nothing but Blue Bonnett margarine it adds a very subtle taste, but it's what differentiates my baking from others. All in all though these were very good.

Country White Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2011
I make bread all the time, and this one was pretty good, it almost tasted like a sourdough. I may decrease the salt next time. Now, believe it or not, I proofed this bread outside, ( it was 85 out ) it proofed great, and then I baked it in the bbq. Yes it's true lol. Up here in Canada we cook outside every chance we get. When I make this bread this winter I will use my oven , but I will make it again. Thanks

Potato Salmon Patties

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2010
I just want to say that you can add a can of salmon to left over mashed potatoes, add a tsp of dill and thyme salt and pepper and some chopped celery and onion. Form them into patties and dredge in flour then fry them . Then you add your tarter sauce to them with some fries and you're good to go.

Jamaican Beef Patties

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2010
I made these the other day, and I added a TON more spices. I love spicy hot food. I added a tbsp of curry, smoked paprika, cayenne, and about 1/4 cup of death sauce, sooooo much better when they're HOT !!!!!

Potato Latkes I

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2010
My husband who LOVES just meat and mashed potatoes finally liked something new. I made these last night with peameal bacon for supper, and he loved them. I was so glad because meat and potatoes every night can get boring real fast. Thanks Rachel.

Chocolate Cream Pie II

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2010
This pie was very tasty and a big hit with my family for Thanksgiving dessert. I would have prefered it a little thicker, next time ( and there WILL be a next time lol ) I will add a bit more cornstarch. But overall it was great !!

Cheese Garlic Biscuits II

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2010
These were ok, I think IF I make them next time I will add sugar, they didn't seem sweet enough.
