Happy Cooker
About this Cook
I am a Domestic Goddess lol. I love being home, cooking and cleaning. I cater to my husband Wayne. Our house is spotless and the laundry is always done lol.
My favorite things to cook
Wayne is a meat and potatoes kind of guy. I myself like spicy hot things. I cannot get enough of it. Most times when I cook, I make one spicy and one not so spicy hehe.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Christmas and Thanksgiving supper are always the same, the whole table is full of food. I was raised that way and I still do it that way even just for us. So there are LOTS of leftovers.
My cooking triumphs
I can cook anything, so nothing is a triumph really.
My cooking tragedies
Um..............none, really none,honest.

Jam Kolaches
I did not care for this recipe. The dough is very delicate and moist, but bland, maybe if there was some sugar in the dough it would be better. Won't be making these again anytime soon.

Beth's Spicy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies
I just made these for my husband. I had one and thought they were very good, what he says though is what matters lol. Instead of using 1/2 cup of butter and a 1/2cup of flavoured shortening I used one cup of margarine. I do not like using butter in baking, I usually use nothing but Blue Bonnett margarine it adds a very subtle taste, but it's what differentiates my baking from others. All in all though these were very good.

Potato Salmon Patties
I just want to say that you can add a can of salmon to left over mashed potatoes, add a tsp of dill and thyme salt and pepper and some chopped celery and onion. Form them into patties and dredge in flour then fry them . Then you add your tarter sauce to them with some fries and you're good to go.
