Fig and Lemon Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2006
I really liked this. The flavor was great and so easy to make. The only think I would change is to use less dried figs. There were more figs than chicken! Really good though.

Slow Cooker Lentils and Sausage

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2003
This is so easy and so good! I halved the recipe and omitted the celery (didn't have any). I also used chicken broth instead of beef and turkey kielbasa (that's what I had on hand). My husband loves this!

Canadian Style Chop Suey

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2003
This was okay, but kind of bland. If I consider making this again, I will add some spices and garlic.

Coq au Vin alla Italiana

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2002
This was easy to make and the taste was okay. My husband wasn't too impressed, so I will probably not make it again.

This is one of our favorites. I've made it several times and it's wonderful every time.

Barley and Mushrooms with Beans

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2002
Excellent vegetarian dish. Extremely easy to make with a pleasant taste. Mine turned out more like a soup than anything, but it was still scrumptious.

Brussels Sprouts in Mustard Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2002
I love Brussels sprouts, my husband could care less. After I made this, he said that if I made them like this, he would eat them all of the time. Delicious!

Caramelized Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2002
This was excellent. I made it with chicken legs instead of wings and added another clove of garlic. My husband raved. I will be doing this again. Thanks Sandy!

Homestyle Turkey, the Michigander Way

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2002
This was my first turkey and it turned out perfect. I did baste it a few times to get the browning effect, but other than that I followed the recipe to the letter. Thank you Robin for making my first Thanksgiving turkey a winner.

Molasses Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2009
I have never made molasses cookies and thought I would give it a shot. Although I was startled by the amount of shortening and no butter, I am so glad I followed the recipe as written. These were a tremendous hit with all at my Yule party. Young and old were raving. They came out chewy and oh so good. Thank you, Karin!

Alfredo Sauce

Simple to make and has a simple taste. Add more garlic and some salt and pepper.

Easy Garlic Broiled Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2008
Now this was REALLY good and easy to make. The reason for only 4 instead of 5 stars is it's incredibly fatty from all the butter and fat from the skin, but I guess that's what makes it taste so good.

BBQ Chicken Pizza

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2003
Good, but the barbecue sauce was overpowering and very messy. I added sliced mushrooms and used a Boboli crust and baked at 450 for about 10 min. Next time I will use less sauce and cilantro and add some sliced black olives.

Aussie Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2002
The only drawback to this recipe is the fact that it's filled with fat and cholesterol. Other than that it's easy and extremely good.

Nita's Lamb, Green Beans and Tomatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2002
Although I followed the recipe to the letter, it just didn't taste as good as I thought it would. There were far too many beans and it was very watery. It was easy too make but tasted somewhat bland. My husband and I both decided this would not remain in the recipe box.

Easy Mushroom Rice

This was very good. Next time I will use low salt soups because it was extremely salty. But I will be making this again.

Tuna-Stuffed Avocados

Wow, this was a surprise! I am completely in love with this recipe. The tuna mixture is so tasty with the cream cheese and it complements the avocado so well. It's also great on crackers! Thanks for this one!

This is definitely easy to make, but seems to be missing something. Maybe more butter and salt.

Ginger Glazed Mahi Mahi

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2008
I normally won't rate any recipe that I haven't followed to the letter, but the only thing I changed was the type of fish. Mahi was not available and swordfish was on sale, so I made it with that, not changing anything else. I loved this! It was easy and oh so good! My husband really thought this was fantastic. Definitely a keeper.
