Pat's Baked Beans
I have now made this recipe 4 times. I follow it exactly. Everyone loves it, no exceptions. I cut up the bacon before frying, it makes it a little easier. I put it all in the ole crock pot and cook it the day before I am going to serve it, that way the flavors all melt together and it thickens up. I am writing this because when I check allrecipies I look for items with 5 stars and lots of reviews, so it is kinda my way to give back, even though I am saying the same thing hundreds of others have said. With that, you and your friends and family will love, love, love this.

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup
I am having some friends over for a holiday dinner in a few weeks so I was making a "dry run" this afternoon with this recipe and a batch of Hearty Chicken Tortilla Soup. It looked to me like these two recipes had the most stars so I figured I would try them both and see which one is the best. I followed both recipes EXACTLY except I added a can of drained and rinsed black beans to each bath. When I served it (in bowl #1 and bowl # 2 so the family vote on the best one) I put some shredded cheese, sour cream and sliced tortilla chips (store bought) on top. The vote is in 3 out of 4 liked this recipe the best. It is a little bit spicier. I cooked it on the stove, not the crock pot. Boiled some chicken breast in a third pot. Cooked for about 40 minutes. I am thrilled, it was very very yummy! I know my friends will love it too.
