About this Cook
I'm married with 2 children, and 1 beautiful granddaughter.i'm just your average everyday female with to much time on her hands.if i'm not baking,i'm redecorating something in the household.but i enjoy it.i watch the cooking channels, and the homemakeover channels.lots of great ideas and recipes.i just found out about allrecipes.i was actually on my computer 4 1/2 hours just checking out different recipes.time to install my printer so i can print them many to write out.i truly enjoy this web site.i actually came across it while reviewing wandascountryhome web.another great website.once i hook up my digital camera,i will have my daughter show me how to e-mail photos.
My favorite things to cook
my favorite things to cook are cakes.i love the reaction i get from friends and families about my auntie who just celebrated her 85th birthday on 03/07/09 just love my pina colada cake, which is pretty much the same as the coconut poke i made that for her using a butter cake recipe instead of the white cake was enjoyed by all.
My favorite family cooking traditions
my favorite cooking tradition would have to be Thanksgiving,it's a time when everyone gets together and share what they're thankful for.everyday that our Heavenly Father wakes me up is something to be thankful for.but i also picked this holiday for my family tradition is because my daughter's birthday falls on or around that we'll have Thanksgiving and a Birthday celebration all in one.i love cooking for Christmas and Thanksgiving.that's when i really show off my skills.
My cooking tragedies
i have a few,but there is this one in particular that i can laugh about.i was about 11 or 12 years of age,my grandparents raised i was always in the kitchen with my grandmother watching her as she cooked.that's how i got this one day my grandfather wanted some cornbread made.not from a i beg my grandmother to let me make some.she told me i didn't know how,but i insisted that i did,so my gramps told her to let me try i mixed everything up like my grandma did.except i left out a main ingredient.(the baking powder).didn't find out until it came out of the oven looking like a pancake.i went in a full granddad put jelly on it,ate it like a pancake, and said it was good.he and myself enjoyed it.

Easy Mexican Chicken Bake
i njoyed this dish, however.the way i did mine,i shredded the chicken tenderloin after cooking of course.i used nacho cheese doritos, crumbled them in the greased baking dish.then i covered the crumbled doritos with the shredded chicken, rotel diced tomatoes with pepper, soup mixture, then shredded cheese.repeated the layers ending with crushed chips and shredded cheese.everyone in household actually loved it.
