Day Before Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2013
Yum!!! The reviews about the strong taste of garlic are a little confusing as the recipe does not call for garlic. This time around I tossed in bacon bits and chives. Excellent recipe as written! Thank you

French Toast I

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2012
Great basic recipe! I used margarine on the pan instead of oil and I skipped the salt. For me this is a key step. I laid my bread slices on a cookie sheet and lightly dusted them with cinnamon on one side because the spice will stay put in the crannies and provide an even coat of flavor. Seems to me when the spices are in the milk mixture they tend to sink to the bottom of the bowl, clump or run to the sides when you dunk the bread in. After I spiced the bread on a cookie sheet I poured the milk, egg and vanilla mixture over it then flipped them to coat. They cooked up nicely on my preheated double burner pan. No sticking with the margarine and they were not soagy at all. Saved to recipe box. Thank you!

B and L's Strawberry Smoothie

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2012
Fantastic!! I used a tablespoon of honey in place of the sugar and vanilla yogurt instead of plain (didn't have plain on hand). I also added one banana to the recipe like another reviewer suggested. So good we drank them right down and made a second round!

Butterscotch Squares

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2012
I melted the butter & peanut butter together in a large pot on the stove top over low heat then I added the butterscotch chips and stirred them until melted. Next I added the marshmallows stirring until melted and finally I mixed in 4 cups of Rice Krispies and then transferred everything to the 9x13 pan to set.
