Chicken Salad

Jeanette, this was a great dish. I started there and made a few changes for my taste, but yours is very tasty....as long as you use chicken which is not salty to start with, salt-free spice blend, etc. I agree with everyone who rated this at 2-4 stars and changed everything. I made it with beef, onion, sour cream, and seasoned salt. EXACTLY the way Jeanette posted it.....>

Everything But the Kitchen Sink Casserole

As several people said, you MUST cook brown rice unless you are using Uncle Ben's or instant. Regular brown rice must cook for at 45 minutes with a cup of rice to 2 cups of liquid. This alone would make the recipe a 5 Star recipe. Knowing this, I loved it, but rated it based on the recipe as written, not on my dish. Also agree that putting the cheese on the side would make for better leftovers. Thanks for posting an excellent recipe. I would suggest changing the rice to say instant brown or showing it as cooked brown rice. But it is worth the work.

Strawberry Tapioca

This should be called DIABETIC STRAWBERRY TAPIOCA because it is made with no sugar or substitutes. If you have any sense, you know that you have to use the very sweet strawberries, not the sour early season ones! Also, since it is not made with milk, eggs, sugar, vanilla, this is not going to taste anything like what you are used to with tapioca pudding. This dessert is made to taste totally different from your ordinary tapioca and it does it's job VERY well. Whenever I make a recipe the first time, I make it exactly the way the submitter suggests. Then if I am going to change it any, I do so on the second or third run. The next time I make this, I will make a few changes: I will mix half milk and half water, I will also sprinkle sugar on it or add a tbsp of honey

Creme Brulee French Toast

This recipe is ideal just the way it is. If you are pressed for time, don't leave it in the fridge overnight, but you are missing much of what makes this recipe special. I did not have grand marnier but did have some orange juice and orange zest. was able to re-create the flavor with this. This is one of the best recipes I have found! Thanks!

Easy Company Chicken

My girlfriend used to make this for a special dinner. She died of lung cancer almost 2 years ago. The only thing she did differently was to add 1 tbsp of lemon juice to the sauce and used shredded cheddar to top it instead of the parmesan. This dish always reminds me of her and how special she was. I miss you Ms. V!
