Basic Pasta

This was my first experience making fresh pasta and I am surprised how easy it was.I did triple the recipe but doubled would have been enough for me and hubby. It turned out perfect. .I used my Kitchen Aid mixer to mix it ,let it set for 20 minutes rolled out in 3 pieces then refrigerated it til ready to cook.I rolled it through my Kitchen Aid attachment wihile the water was boiling.I will definately be making this again.

Beth's Spicy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

If you like your oatmeal cookies soft & chewy as we do then this is the perfect recipe.I gave some to a friend and she said they were the best oatmeal cookies she has ever eaten . Thank-you Beth.

Carrot Broccoli Casserole

My family really enjoyed this veggie casserole.I cut the carrots in coin shape instead of diced and also cut back on the chicken broth as others had advised.I will definately make this again.It presents well on the table

Chocolate Rum Cake

This cake is so moist and easy to make.I followed the recipe exactly except I added a bit of rum extract.It doesn't have a strong rum flavour ,it is just right.I will definately make this cake again.

Slow Cooker Homemade Beans

This is an excellent recipe.The changes I made was to soak the beans overnight & boil them for 1hr.until they became soft.I didn't have navy beans ,just white pea beans and they were perfect.I cooked them on high for 1hr. then low setting for 1hr.

Microwave Oven Peanut Brittle

I make this recipe every Christmas .It makes a nice candy to give to friends or co-workers.I purchase stainless jars at the $ store fill with brittle add a ribbon and bow ...Makes a nice little gift.

Special Spicy Seafood Sauce

My hubby is doesn't like alot of spices so I make this basic sauce all of the time using just ketchup,horseradish , worcherstershire sauce,salt & pepper.It is excellent & easy.I served the shrimp in a ice bowl that is made a day in advance.The ice bowl instructions is on-line.

Whipped Shortbread Cookies

This is a nice easy no fail recipe.The cookies are very light a tasty.Having a kitchen Aid mixer makes this even easier as it is necessary to beat the mixture until light & fluffy.I used a pastry bag to pipe the filling & it came through nicely.

Pumpkin Apple Streusel Muffins

I made these muffins to-day for the first time but it won't be the last.......They are delicious.....I added walnuts and used bakers coarse sugar for the topping...I didn't have pumpkin pie spice so used cloves,allspice & cinnamon mixed together,other than that followed the recipe .

Butternut Squash Soup II

Pumpkin Pie IV

I always use this recipe...it is the same as the one on the pumpkin can...It makes 2 pies and is a very good basic pumpkin pie recipe(never fails)if directions are followed exact

Butterscotch Bread Pudding

This is a very good bread pudding...I cut the recipe in half because there is just my Hubby & I ...I added raisins & a sprinkle of cinnamon as others suggested I used only 1/2 of the brown sugar the recipe called for...I will definately make this pudding again

Monkey Bread II

Thank-you for this recipe..It is so easy and delicious.I added marachino cherries & walnuts.The recipe calls for margarine but the instructions call for butter...I used the butter.This bread is sweet,sticky &,gooey,but ohhh!!sooo!! good.

Big Soft Ginger Cookies

My husband loves these cookies because they are soft & chewy like his mother use to make... The only thing I did different is I rolled them in bakers sugar & placed a walnut in the middle. This recipe is now on my favourite recipe list.An excellent ginger cookie.

Buttery Rolls

Banana Crumb Muffins

I made these to-day for the first time but it will not be the last.I did make a few changes just because of personal choice.I added walnut pieces to the batter & used coarse bakers sugar for the topping instead of brown sugar.This gave the topping a very crunchy top.

Hot Cross Buns I

I just made this recipe tonight & it turned out very good.There was a spice missing to give it that true hot cross bun flavour,perhaps allspice. I used margarine & raisins instead of butter & currents. Make sure to grease the pan generously or use parchment paper.I will definately made this easy recipe again once I discover the missing spice.

Chicken Dumpling Soup

My husband & I loved this soup.I did not add tarragon or parsley.I only added 1cup of chicken to the dumpling mixture but added 1tsp. baking powder & 1/2 cup of extra flour because the dough was too runny. We loved the dumplings because we like them heavy.I also sprinkled fresh chopped green onions on top.

Easy Slow Cooker French Dip
