Salmon Steaks with Dill Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2010
Used a salmon fillet instead of steak and cooked for about 8-10 minutes. Also added some fresh dill to the broth. Very Moist and mild flavor. Even my four year old (picky eater) ate all of his and seconds. I did not try the dill sauce. Very quick and easy.

Sugar Cookie Icing

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2009
Very easy recipe for nice icing. I gave it 4 stars b/c the proportions are a bit off. With only 2 teaspoons of milk it was very sticky - took more like 4-5 teaspoons of milk before it was smooth. Having said that, it was easy to keep adding the liquids until the right consistency. Kids had a fun time painting the icing on, and it dries very professional looking (if not eaten right away!)

Garbage Quiche

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2009
Used this recipe for my first quiche ever and it was great! Very easy to do. I used a frozen pie crust to make it easier. Also cooked the bacon and yellow onion the night before my brunch to cut down on prep time that morning. Used cheddar cheese since that is what we had. Looking forward to trying the Gruyere and other filling combos. Used a deep dish pie crust and the quantities were perfect.

My husband had 3 additional pieces and said "Mmm", "Awesome", "So good" between bites. Very easy to make and juicy.

Followed recipe except used cream cheese, did not blanch as others suggested, asparagus came out perfectly cooked. Salty though. Wrapped 5 skinny asparagus in 1 prosciutto.

Slow Cooker Creamed Corn

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2009
Very easy to make. Tastes just like Rudy's cream corn. Probably very fattening so next time I may use light cream cheese. Made it for a baby shower and got great compliments and lots of "oohs" and "ahhs". I used a little bit more corn than the recipe called for.

Yummy! Very decadent, followed the recipe exactly. Ended up with 36 tarts and leftover filling. Next time may try with light cream cheese. Got very good reviews from friends.

Oven Barbecued Beef Brisket I

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2001
This recipe was very easy and delicious! I added chopped celery and sliced onions to the brisket before cooking. However, slicing it before cooking it the last hour made it a little dry. Overall, though, it was great!
