No-Fuss Rolls

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2011
Huge, doughy lumps of flavorless yuck. I even tried adding cheese and salt to them...it did not help at all. We are huge bread fans over here, but this flopped terribly. You need to put the yeast in or at least baking powder...at the very least a little salt or butter to boost the flavor.

Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Muffins

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2011
Made these yesterday. I found them to be very moist and really yummy. I didn't have any problems with them tasting "off" or too starchy. Maybe some people just don't make muffins well. The 15 min wait time didn't bother me either. It may be a bit inconvenient if the muffins are all your are making, but if you're making them to go with something then the 15 min gives you time to keep preparing other things. I did omit the nuts and used a granola crumble on top instead. They tasted great!

Rich Chocolate Frosting

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2011
This makes a TON of frosting. I have a KitchenAid stand mixer and it was almost coming out the top by the end of my making this. I was able to frost a 4 layer cake with plenty to spare! The frosting itself is very smooth, rich and creamy...it's to die for!

Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies III

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2011
These cookies are perfect! And no eggs in them, so you can indulge yourself a little and eat some dough while no one is watching ;-) I've made them twice now and each time was wonderful! Give them a try...they are SUPER easy!

J.P.'s Big Daddy Biscuits

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2011
I've made these twice now...they are EXCELLENT, although the recipe doesn't really make that many biscuits so you end up a little short.

Gourmet White Pizza with Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2011
My family liked this alot! I won't say it was my favorite thing because I had to substitute basil pesto for the tomato one (thanks alot to the grocery store) so mine didn't come out as great as I think it could've had I found all the ingredients I wanted, but the taste was very good and it was pretty easy to throw together. I would try again.

Cowboy Hash

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2011
I used a can of cheddar cheese soup, a can of refried beans and corn to make mine...I usually serve it over mashed potatoes...it's come out very good each time! Quick, easy and surprisingly good...not very pretty to look at though!

Apple-Bacon Green Beans

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2011
I made these once for Thanksgiving and they turned out great! I loved them! I used pre-cooked bacon bits in mine and they worked just as well as the regular bacon...although if you're going to do that, you have to make sure to get REAL bacon bits, not the crunchy red "fish food" bacon bits you find most places.

Alfredo Potatoes

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2011
They were ok, but making them in the microwave does not work. I've tried it twice the way it says and maybe I just don't have a good enough microwave but they end up taking 10x longer to get soft than they are supposed to, so I give up and pop them in the oven. The overall end product is nothing too exciting but at least it's easy enough to do. I probably wouldn't recommend.

Tres Leches (Milk Cake)

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2011
I've never made a Tres Leches Cake before and have to say I wasn't really all that impressed. It was very soggy and wet, but I followed the directions to the letter. It tastes very sweet and very milky, so that's a plus, but I think I'll pass on making it again...I may also let it sit for longer in the fridge next time before trying it as the other reviewers suggest. It was easy to make and fun to try just not up my alley.

Turtle Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2011
This bread was my first attempt at making bread so I was pleased because it is really easy to do. It is very plain tasting bread so I'll probably make it again and try the salt on top or maybe put more salt in the recipe. I would recommend it though as it is very cute and I feel like making it again at some point. Give it a shot! You'll like it!

Slow-Cooker Barbecue Ribs

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2010
I changed this recipe entirely. I used country style beef ribs and then added 1 can chunky Garden Combination Ragu spaghetti sauce, 1 bottle favorite barbeque sauce, 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce, 1-2 tsp Worchestshire sauce, a dash of liquid smoke. Then I cooked it on low for 8-10 hours. They come out wonderfully!

Easy Slow Cooker Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2010
I give it four stars because it's not my favorite thing to make and I had to put the rice on high the last 2 hours of cooking because it wasn't getting cooked through. However, it came out ok in the end.

Crazy Cake

Great cake! Comes out very moist and with a nice flavor. I was kinda worried it might taste tangy because of the vinegar but it really doesn't.

I give this 4 stars because it's not really the best thing in the world, but if you want something quick and easy to make as a side dish that people will like, this will do it for you!
