About this Cook
Mommy, wife, daughter and friend. I'm currently a stay at home mom of 3 and the wife of a firefighter. I love my life.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook meals for my family. It is great to have a pocket full of fast, easy and satisfyingly healthy dinners to whip up in a short amount of time.
My favorite family cooking traditions
The big Holidays... Thanksgiving and Christmas were always the best. Lots of familiar food complimented by familiar faces. The normal conversation turns to great conversation when the only difference in the situation is excellent food.
My cooking triumphs
Baking is by far the best time I have in the kitchen. My son and I love to make cupcakes and cookies and my youngest son and oldest child (mu daughter) love to eat them. It started out as just fun in the kitchen when my mom bought us the Hello Cupcake book and from there is escalated into something that the two of us love to do together and we always seem to knock the goodies out of the park.

Brown Sugar Meatloaf
Tasty, I think the next time I will try this I will do it with the leanest beef available. I used 85/15 next time I will try 93/7 to minimize the fat drippings.

French Crepes
This is a great basic crepe recipe. It always hit the spot and the fact that it isn't a savory or sweet recipe lets you add whatever you would like as a topping.

Fettuccini Carbonara
This pleased everyone at my house. Even the "picky eater" asked for seconds. Going into the regular box!
