Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2009
this recipe is very good!!! and very simple. i only made half. it turned out great. i did add a little more liquid, and i didn't have celery or rosemary. so i used thyme instead. it is a great meal for a cold winter day!

Baked Slow Cooker Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2009
this is a wonderful chicken recipe! the meat really did just fall off the bone. it was so tender and moist. i made a few changes though. after i cleaned out the chicken i stuffed a halved lemon, 4 garlic cloves, and some onion inside the bird. and i rubbed a mixture of butter salt pepper and paprica under the chicken skin. instead of the foil i used vegtables. potatoes, onion and carrots. i added chicken stock and white wine to the slow cooker too. then seasoned the chicken with salt pepper and paprica and thyme. it was amazing how good this was. some of the other reveiws said the chicken was dry, but i didn't have that problem, amybe it was the extra broth and white wine. but this chicken is awesome, you should definatly try it!!

Old Fashioned Coconut Cream Pie

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2009
this pie is amazing! i made a few changes to mine though. i didn't have any half and half so i used heavy whipping cream. and i agree with some of the other people who have reveiwed this and i added 1 can of coconut milk, it was almost 2 cups. and then i used the heavy cream. i turned out great!! it wasn't too dense or rich. i also used a graham cracker crust. and i made homemade wipped cream(1/2 cup heavy cream, 1/4 sugar, and 1 teaspoon vanilla). i do recomend you let this chill in the fridge for a long time, or over night if you can. it really helps it to firm up real nice. a great recipe!! you should definatly try it!!

Cinnamon Honey Butter

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2009
this is a great basic recipe. i didn't add the sugar, i figured that the honey would make it sweet enough. and it did!! i spread this over biscuits in the morning, and it was amazing!!

Baking Powder Biscuits

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2009
these are sooo amazing!! they are light and fluffy and soooo yummy!! i made them for breakfast with the cinnamon honey butter recipe also on this site, and it was wonderful! i added all the milk(actually i used soy milk) and egg mixture and the dough was a little too sticky to roll or anything. so i just dropped them by the spoonful onto the cookies sheet. i made 7 gaint biscuits. they didn't look as pretty as they would have if you roll them out, but they still tasted amazing!! i highly recomend these! thanks for the awesome recipe!!

Whoopie Pies I

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2009
these are awesome!! the local bakery makes these all the time, and i just loved them, so when i tried these i was hoping they would be as good as the ones at the bakery and they are waaaay better!! i love the cake part it is so soft and fluffy. i live in high altitude so to get mine ti rise correctly i used 1 teaspoon baking powder, and 1/4 teaspoon baking soda. they rose and didn't fall. they were just right. the frosting is creamy and light, although i made a few small changes. i made a lil extra frosting by just using a whole cup of shortning, and added more sugar. and after i mixed those together i added some heavy whipping cream, and it turned out so light and creamy i will make these changes in the future too. i highly recomend this recipe!! you will love it!!

Peanut Butter Cup Cookies II

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2009
i love these cookies!! the peanut butter and chocolate together is just perfect! i only made half, 8 cookies, and they turned out really good. the hardest part was waiting for them to cool, so we could eat them!! i highly recomend this. it would be fun for to make too. i was looking at other peanut butter cup cookie recipes and they all called for a mini muffin tin, and i don't have one. so i just used a noemal sized one and they aren't too big, and they cooked just fine. you should definatly try these if you like peanut butter and chocolate, you won't regret it!! :)

Kung Pao Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2009
this is really great!! i changed a few things though. first i used chicken thighs instead of using the chicken breast. and then i marinated the chicken all day in the fridge. i cooked the thighs in a little a oil, and then removed from pan, and wiped out the excess oil, then made the sauce in the same pan(so i would have less dishes to do). and the suace was way too thick, so i added about `1/4 cup extra white wine, and some water. i used red pepper flakes instead, and i used garlic powder instead of fresh garlic. i also didn't add the water chestnuts, because i didn't have any. i also used white sugar instaed of brown, and rice vinager. it was wonderful!! my family wants me to make this all the time for them now!! i served it over fresh white rice. i highly recomend this recipe, it is easy and tastes fabulous!!
