Best Brownies

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2014
I followed the recipe exactly, and the brownies were pretty bland. The frosting was really clumpy, so I wasn't able to use it.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2010
The cookies taste great, but they aren't the prettiest, and I didn't like the dough at all! It's VERY vanilla-y. They taste great; not a bad recipe, just not the best :).

Key Lime Cheesecakes with Raspberry Swirls

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2010
This is VERY good! It comes out a bit lumpy, and I beat it in my Kitchenaid for about 7 minutes...I never really got them out. It is a great recipe though, with and without the raspberry! I made a whole cheesecake and baked it at 350 :) Thanks jessica!

Peanut Butter Cup Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2009
These cookies are very easy, and turn out very pretty! Mine were a little flour-y though, and I know I followed it exactly; I always level my dry ingredients. Next time, I will probably use a normal pb cookie recipe and push the cups in, but these were still great :)

Quick Gnocchi

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2009
I've never made gnocchi before, but my mom requested it for her birthday. This recipe was very simple...I burnt the potatoes on the first try (go figure!) but other than that it was a breeze!

Chocolate Cappuccino Cheesecake

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2009
This cheesecake was excellent!! I followed it exactly, except I didn't have any liqueur and didn't want to buy some for just the recipe. I simply went to a very popular coffee chain, and asked for their strongest coffee. I used that for the liqueur and coffee it called for. The whip cream was great and I piped it on...I also got chocolate molds at the craft store and put leaves on top. I will use this again and again!!! OH! I used teddy grahams for the crust! Delicious!

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2009
This chicken was delicious! It didn't look quite as pretty as the picture, but yummy! I served it with the Roaster Lemon Broccoli from the site and it was delic! The sauce is rich and heavy, so I would go light.

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies II

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2009
Delicious! I made these with white chips and they were incredible. Be careful not to overbake though...they don't look done, and they will get realllly crispy.

Rich Chocolate Frosting

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2009
This icing is perfect for decorating. It is very fluffy, but it holds it's shape well. I halved the recipe, but I didn't really care for the flavor, so I gave it 4 stars. I added more butter and a bit more vanilla, and I liked it after that. I'm just not much for the cocoa-y flavor at all. This is a great recipe, just not my personal taste. I will definitely use it again with my tweeks.

Carrot Cake III

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2009
This cake is really good!! :) I made it as 30 cupcakes, and frosted them as directed. Delicious! I followed the recipe exactly, except I added 1/4 tsp of nutmeg like the other reviewers suggested and cooked them for 15 minutes. MMMMMM...i'm about to eat another one!

Soft Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2009
These were delicious! I'm so glad I finally made them! The recipe was very easy to make, and they cooked perfectly at exactly 10 minutes. I drizzled half with white chocolate, and the other with chocolate. They looked very cute, and were soo good! :)

Artichoke Spinach Lasagna

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2009
INCREDIBLE. That's all that can be said for this dish. We used no cook noodles, and fresh basil, as well as fresh spinach and zucchini. The only thing I would do is maybe add some more veggies and sauce. :) Thanks so much for this recipe...I will be making this again and again. My boyfriend said it's been one of his favorite dishes, and I cook something new 3-4 times a week...well done D!

Shepherd's Pie VI

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2009
This recipe is great, but it DEFINITELY needs some vegetables. We made ours exactly as the recipe states, except we added sour cream to the potatoes (per reviews), and I wish we had added vegetables like other reviewers stated. I wanted to give it a try as is, and my boyfriend is not much on veggies. :) It tasted great, but it would have been MUCH better with green beans, peas, and corn.

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2009
This is a GREAT recipe! It's classic chicken pot pie...such a comfort food. I actually followed the other reviews and doubled the sauce, and it was WAY too much. I used regular, frozen pie crusts, and I also added green beans. Great recipe Robbie. Thanks so much :)

Chicken Fiesta Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2009
This was a very yummy salad :) I also added mixed cheese, and a green bell pepper. MMMM. :) My only suggestion would be to let the chicken marinate in the spices for an hour or two, and cut into into strips before cooking. Thanks Angl!

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2009
I started using this recipe in May, and I have made it probably 10 times since then. It is my "go to" recipe for cakes and cupcakes. We like to try different flavors, and my boyfriend's favorite is Mint Chocolate Chip. You can use Mint Pudding instead if you'd like, or just add Andes Mints instead of chocolate chips. I've also used white chocolate pudding and chips, and I'm looking forward to making lemon. This is the best recipe I have ever tasted...the sour cream was a bit scary at first, but now I add it to almost everything I bake...it truly makes the difference. Thank you SO much Denise!

Whipped Cream Cream Cheese Frosting

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2009
This frosting had a great consistency, but was VERY cheesy. In the future, I will add more powdered sugar and probably a bit of vanilla. :) That is just my preference, however, and it is great for frosting and decorating! :)

Papa Drexler's Bavarian Pretzels

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2009
These pretzels tasted great the first day, but by the second they were pretty "blah." The recipe was very easy to follow, except like everyone else I had to add more flour. I think I over-worked the dough, because it was a bit hard to roll without it breaking apart. However, it was easy, and they tasted great the first day. :) I just melted some velvetta (just for consistency), and added shredded cheddar cheese to dip the pretzels in and they were a great snack. I might make again, but only as many as we can eat in a day. Good luck :)
