If you like scotch, this drink is perfect. It is too strong for me, but the flavor is good otherwise.

Honey Vanilla Ice Cream

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2009
The ice cream came out tasting heavily of honey, but it was delicious! However, the recipe would never freeze properly in the ice cream maker, so once I put it in my freezer, it turned rock hard and icy. I don't recommend putting all of the hot milk into the egg mixture. I tried this twice and ended up with a foamy mess. Next time, I will only put in half of the milk, as most other recipes call for. I will definitely try this out again, as my friends all loved it, but I hope it freezes better in the future.

Gelato

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2009
This is the perfect gelato base, and it is well worth the effort it takes to do the straining! I added 1/2 cup Nutella and a splash of vanilla to this and let the mixture chill overnight before freezing it. The texture is perfect, and the flavor was wonderful. I don't think it needed to sit in the freezer to firm up at all, unlike many of the other recipes I've made. If you like very firm gelato/ice cream, though, it would be best to freeze for an hour or two before serving. This is my new favourite recipe, and I will be experimenting with all kinds of flavor add-ins in the near future.

Artichoke & Spinach Dip Restaurant Style

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2009
This recipe was really good! Like others, I used the whole package of cream cheese, which I thought worked well. I mixed everything together before baking, and mixed it all again when I served it, which helped improve the texture. I used a combination of garlic powder and minced garlic, as I didn't have time for fresh garlic, and it turned out well. I thought it was much, much better the second or third day, which is all the dip lasted.
