My favorite family cooking traditions
Southern/New Orleans style cooking. Beans, collards, sweet potatoes, gumbo. But I just discovered and LOVE cheese grits and want to try them covered in shrimp.
My cooking triumphs
Never cooked much when I was younger so friends and family were always shocked when I'd come up with something spectacular - like a braided pastry filled with cream cheese and lemon filling or snowcrab stuffed mushrooms brushed with butter and melted fontina on top.
