Felix K.'s 'Don't even try to say these aren't the best you've ever eaten, because they are' Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2009
Longest 17 minutes ever. These were great. I followed the recipe exactly (but used 1/2 a bag of choc. chips b/c I don't like very many). The first pan was gone before the 2nd pan was out of the oven! I have tried pretty much every recipe on this site for choc. chip cookies, and this is the best one for me so far! My search is over!

Magic Cookie Bars from EAGLE BRAND®

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2009
This is a family favorite, made for every holiday. I don't measure the chocolate chips or coconut (probably use less than the recipe) and it always turns out great!

'Out of Salad Dressing' Salad Dressing

Reviewed: May 19, 2009
Great recipe to use when you don't have time to run to the store to buy more dressing!! I didn't follow the measurements exactly, and used a lot less milk. This is a good base recipe to change amounts to suit your own tastes.

Bev's Mac and Cheese

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2009
This was quick and easy. My 1 year old and 4 year old both LOVE it. It's tastes great, but it is a *little* gritty. I doubled the recipe to use up the rest of my pasta, and added 1/4 tsp each Worcestershire sauce and mustard powder. I will definetly make it again, on the stove if I have time, and will use less flour.

Dash's Donair

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2009
Love donairs!! When I found this recipe I was soooo excited, but skeptical. I thought it was going to be a lot more difficult to make than it actually was. It tastes really good, and does the trick when I get a craving for some good down home food.

Spinach and Pasta Shells

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2009
This would be a great side dish. I accidentally put 3 tbsp of red pepper flakes, which is what I thought the recipe said, but after I realized that was just someone's comment... My mouth is still burning and I couldn't feed this to my kids. Our family doesn't like that much spice/heat. I will make it again using LESS red pepper flakes. Thanks!

Quick Tuna Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2009
I don't know why, but I have never thought of or heard of putting relish in tuna salad. I usually just use tuna and miracle whip, maybe some onion or celery if I'm not being lazy. But this was excellent. I will be making it this was from now on. Actually, I didn't use sweet relish, I only had tangy dill relish, but I don't think it would make much of a difference. It was still good.

Blueberry Crumb Bars

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2009
These are delicious! The only changes I made were to use 1/2 cup shortening and 1/2 cup butter, 1/2 cup white sugar and 1/2 cup brown sugar for the dough. Just because I didn't have enough shortening and white sugar. I will make these again, with the same measurements I used this time.

Old Fashioned Onion Rings

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2009
These are delicious and so fun to make! I like messy cooking once in a while. I worked at the fast food restaurant that makes these for 5 years, and this recipe is a perfect copy. Love them with a little extra seasoning salt. Mmmmmm!

Sloppy Joe Sandwiches

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2009
I thought this was very good. I could eat it as is and enjoy it, but I did make a few changes. I used garlic salt and onion salt because that's what I had. I omitted the salt because of this. When it was done I decided to add the extra salt, some pepper and chili powder for some extra flavor. It was delicious. (I don't agree that it was better than canned Manwich though). I only simmered mine for about five minutes before I lost patience and ate it. Oh, I also forgot to double the sauce since I cooked 1 lb. of ground beef. It still coated all the burger, and had lots of flavor. I will use this recipe again when I want a Sloppy Joe and I don't have any Manwich sauce. Thank you!

Glazed Cinnamon Biscuits

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2009
This is what I grew up believing was a cinnamon roll. We always used my grandmothers biscuit recipe, but it calls for 8 cups of flour. (We use half the dough for biscuits, and the rest for cinnamon rolls.) This recipe is perfect when I just want a small batch. Thank you!
