Corn Dogs
the first time i made these, the batter would not stay on the dogs at all. i tried both refrigerating it first and putting corn starch/flour, but it didn't seem to work. so i only got large chunks of batter on the dogs and it didn't cover completely. the oil was also too hot so the insides were not cooked through. even then, the batter tasted good! The second time i made them, i had to roll them around in the batter much more, then let the batter drip off so it wasn't so thick. they came out perfectly. brought them to a potluck and they were a huge hit! will definitely make them again

Chocolate Espresso Cookies
when i first finished mixing the batch, i placed the cookies on the sheet and they just melted right on there, so i thought it was a disaster. if you leave the batch around exposed for a while, it hardens, and the melting won't happen. i wouldn't make these cookies for guests to eat right out of the oven, but the day after, they're just absolutely to die for! love this recipe!! but not to be made the day-of for dinner guests, for instance
