Garbanzo Stir-Fry

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2002
This was great! I used dried spices (half the amount)instead of fresh because thats what I had on hand. Even though I over cooked my Garbanzos (I used dried instead of canned) and undercooked the zucchini, it was very tasty. I bet it is amazing when everything is cooked right! Its also great in a pita! My boyfriend and I fought over the leftovers for lunch. Next time i will have to make more!

Almost No Fat Banana Bread

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2002
This is great. I couldnt find my banana bread recipe so i tried this one. It will be the recipe i use for now on! My guess is that the people who have chewy or heavy bread are stirring too much, and the people with not enough flavor are using bananas that are not ripe enough. The nastier they look the better they are for bread!

Triple Strawberry Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2002
I used a white mix instead of strawberry. The one i had on hand was the "party swirl" kind with the dye packets to color the mix. Instead of using them as directed i mixed both into the entire batter and the cake ended up a nice purpley blue color. When i added the jello, I poked holes in the cake first so it absorbed more in some spots. The cake ended up being quite pretty and tasted good too!

Hot Mexican Spinach Dip

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2002
I tripled the batch and heated it in a slow cooker for a large party. I used 1/3 less fat cream cheese and fat free condensed milk. Very tasty! Everyone loved it!

We werent crazy about it ... maybe I did something wrong. It was ok, just not great. I think I would enjoy it more with a chocolate mix.. or maybe lemon??

Scotcharoos

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2002
Great recepie! I also doubled the chocolate and butterscotch chips for the top. I melted everything in the microwave too - I used 50% heat and stirred frequently and everything turned out great. I tried other cereals too when we were out of crispies. Chex and cornflakes were good. wheaties were too tough. Everyone seems to love these!!!!! Oh, and if you use light peanut butter they dont turn out so good.. they're really hard.

Exquisite Pizza Sauce

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2001
I was putting my pizza together when I realized I had forgotten to buy sauce! I love this site and am soo glad I found this recepie!! I made this without the parmesean, anchovy stuff, or the red and cayenne pepper. I substituted the honey for 1T of pure maple syrup and the onion powder for 1/2t minced onion. (I had to make due with what I had) And it was great! And sooo easy! Much cheaper and better tasting than buying canned sauce. I wanted to try with the peppers but wasnt sure how hot it would be. Didnt wanna burn the kids' mouth! They'll never eat my pizza again! Thanks for a great recepie.
