Herb Biscuits

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2009
it's very rare that i find myself frustrated that 5 stars is the highest i can rate a recipe. if i could i would give this recipe 10. it was amazing! i did everything as follows but added grated and shredded parmesan cheese to the top. oh so yummy. i served this with the quick and easy chicken noodle soup from this site. oh and i highly recommend not taking out the dill. it makes it sooo much better. i added garlic powder as well.

These were awesome!! I didn't use banana because the birthday girl requested I leave it out, so I just used cantaloupe, pineapple and strawberries with a little grape on top!!

Family Favorite Chicken Lo Mein

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2009
i am rating this a five because i don't want others to shy away from this recipe. if there were more votes than i would rate it a four. this was really good! i was nervous by how little ingredients it called for but i was shocked to find it very flavorful. i only used a half box of pasta like others suggested and i am glad i did. the broth to pasta ratio was spot on. i didn't have black bean and garlic sauce (could not find it anywhere!!) so i used oyster sauce instead. great recipe that i will make over and over again!

PJ's Sweet Potato Mash

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2009
these were fantastic. i didn't bake them in the oven though. i just peeled them, cut them in to cubes and then boiled them for about 15 minutes. then i went to step 2. i was very skeptical about using horseradish but it made the dish. they are so tasty. i served them along side the brown sugar meatloaf from this site and some broccoli. i think i like these better than regular mashed potatoes.

These burgers are AWESOME! I tried them at the media party for Allrecipes when "What's Cooking" launched and I must admit I didn't think I would like them at all....but I had one and instantly wanted another. They are amazing! I can't wait to make them myself. Cute webisode by the way. : ) I am excited for it to air!!!

Pecan Crusted Salmon

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2010
absolutely the best salmon i have ever, EVER had! my mother is a salmon lover and has had all kinds and she said she has never had better. as for my husband, he didn't like.....not because it was gross but because he HATES fresh water fish....especially salmon. i tried to do fish dish he would like but no success. i will just have to make this every time he isn't home or make him something different when i want this. i can't tell you how flavorful and amazing this was. i prepared the sauce before hand so it was nice and thick when i got home and it stuck to the fish great! i accidently left the parsley out though. : (

Chicken with Rice and Gravy

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2009
great concept, just bland gravy. i wish i would have taken the suggestions from other reviewers but i wanted to make it as written first. all in all a good recipe that i will use more often, just next time i will use chicken broth instead of water....oh and i tripled the gravy.

VERY YUMMY! i tried to follow the recipe as written but i didn't have swiss cheese so i just used colby and of course i doubled up on the french fried onion topping....but that's just my personal preference. this dish is very simple, fast and sooo delicious. makes great leftovers too!! :P

Cabbage Hamburger Bake

Reviewed: May 13, 2010
this was pretty good. my husband didn't like it too much, he said it was pretty bland. i added a little more salt and thought it was pretty tasty. i poured over white rice. it reminded me of a hamburger helper meal but much healthier. will make again.

Sweet Potato Enchiladas

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2009
surprisingly delicious! i love sweet potatoes but the mixture of ingredients had me questioning it. it was amazing though! i used white sweet potatoes (didn't know it until i got home and started peeling the skin off and it wasn't orange, nevertheless, just as good) and also used fat free cream cheese to help cut down on the calories and fat. i also added a can of chicken, subbed sweet white onion for green and used green enchilada sauce instead of red. SOOOO good. the green sauce is a MUST! it complements the enchiladas so well. a little tip to cut down on the time is to peel and cube the sweet potatoes and boil them for fifteen minutes. cuts down about 20 minutes on cooking time.

Churros II

Reviewed: May 5, 2009
Pretty good recipe. Very easy to make and not messy at all. I only used 2 eggs based off the reviews and suggestions of others that 3 makes the Churros too eggy. My only draw back was that I cut the hole in the bag too big making the Churros way too thick and they didn't cook all the way through. Next time I will do a much smaller hole or make them disk like shapes. We had them with vanilla ice cream and honey.

Honey Ribs

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2009
i loved this recipe. i only rated it a 4 because i didn't follow the directions exactly. i am afraid if i did that it would have turned out to be too watery. instead i doubled everything and used a whole bottle of bbq sauce. i omitted the water like everyone suggested by kept the broth. at the end i took out the ribs, basted them and then broiled them for a couple minutes (with the door slightly open.) i took all the sauce left over in the crock pot, added a little flour/water to thicken up the sauce even more (it was plenty thick already.) i am using it to make home made baked beans! yummy!! my husbands rates everything i do and he rated this a number 2 on his list.

Hearty Hash Brown Dinner

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2009
this was an amazing recipe. i was a little scared of how the hash browns would turn out...i thought they would get too soggy. each ingredient makes the dish and it's for sure going to be a regular menu item. my husband rated it #6 out of 20 of his favorite foods i make for him. the only thing i changed was i used turkey meat instead of beef. it's healthier and reheats much better than beef. Updated: I made this again for a pot luck at work and it was a hit! My co workers devoured it! I love the simplicity of this recipe and the combinations of flavors. I originally rated this recipe a 4 but I had to move it to the 5 with the amazing feedback I get from people.

Broccoli Chicken Divan

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2010
Oh I loved this. Didn't change a thing....but next time I might add more breadcrumbs because they were soooo good. There are not many dishes that are better the next day....but this one is!! UPDATE: Ok so I made this again today but changed a few things. Instead of broccoli I used one can of green beans, one can of corn and one can of sweet peas. Everything else I kept the same but put a ton more breadcrumbs on top. It's perfect as written but it's also a good base recipe as well. Oh the possibilities.........
