World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2009
this was really, really good....especially the leftovers. i did everything as instructed but i forgot to pick up some tomato sauce and not enough tomato paste, so i just used tomato and basil spaghetti sauce. turned out wonderful.

French's® Green Bean Casserole

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2009
when isn't green bean casserole good? what i love about this is that it's so flavorful on it's own that you don't even need to add salt and pepper. i could eat this for breakfast, lunch and dinner. i just used canned green beans (no salt added) and i actually prefer that over fresh ones.

Hasselback Potatoes

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2009
the only reason i rated this a four was because i don't know how they truly would have turned out if i used different potatoes. i bought yellow potatoes and cooked them the recommended time and they were really hard and raw. it think if i would have used red or brown potatoes then it would have been a for sure five start!!! the presentation is spot on!!!

Herb Biscuits

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2009
it's very rare that i find myself frustrated that 5 stars is the highest i can rate a recipe. if i could i would give this recipe 10. it was amazing! i did everything as follows but added grated and shredded parmesan cheese to the top. oh so yummy. i served this with the quick and easy chicken noodle soup from this site. oh and i highly recommend not taking out the dill. it makes it sooo much better. i added garlic powder as well.

Quick and Easy Chicken Noodle Soup

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2009
i love this recipe. it was very easy to make. the only thing i did different was boil the cubed chicken in water until it was done and then i took a potato smasher to it to shred it up. i used whole wheat pasta and doubled up on everything but the broth. it was amazing! i served this with the herb biscuits from this site. for sure a keeper.

Balsamic Roasted Pork Loin

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2009
sigh....it was like a heavenly dream taking my first bite of this. i could not even begin to explain how wonderful this pork was. i accidently bought tenderloin instead of just loin but it was just as wonderful. however, i love things sweet so i added about two tablespoons of brown sugar to the marinate and also a teaspoon of minced garlic. i marinated it for well over 20 hours and it was fantastic. i am now a huge marinate lover!!! if i could rate this recipe a 10, i would!!! amazing!!!

Alaska Salmon Bake with Pecan Crunch Coating

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2009
absolutely the best salmon i have ever, EVER had! my mother is a salmon lover and has had all kinds and she said she has never had better. as for my husband, he didn't like.....not because it was gross but because he HATES fresh water fish....especially salmon. i tried to do fish dish he would like but no success. i will just have to make this every time he isn't home or make him something different when i want this. i can't tell you how flavorful and amazing this was. i prepared the sauce before hand so it was nice and thick when i got home and it stuck to the fish great! i accidently left the parsley out though. : (

Unbelievable Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2009
this was amazing!! i let my chicken marinate over night and throughout the next day as well and it was so flavorful. i burnt my chicken just a tiny bit though. next time i might poke the chicken with a fork a few times so the marinate can soak in even more. this was sooo good i wanted to drench everything (including my potatoes and green beans) in it. i might make a separate bowl of it next time so i can use for other things.

Honey Roasted Red Potatoes

Reviewed: May 28, 2009
wow, wow, wow! i make a mean pouch potato but i have to say that this recipe just might beat it out!! i baked them on the grill and burnt a few of them but they still turned out wonderful. i left out the onions because i don't care for them. we usually make enough for leftovers the next day but my husband and i ate all of them they were so yummy!

Sweet Mustard Chicken Bake

Reviewed: May 28, 2009
WOW! this recipe is amazing! i took the advice of others and cut the butter down by half. i also drenched the chicken in the sauce and then rolled it in bread crumbs. next time i wont do that because it was too messy to begin with and the breading came off too easy because it didn't stick while backing. besides that the taste is SPOT on!! i don't use measuring cups or spoons so i just eyeballed to what i thought was the correct measurements. i also made extra sauce to pour over the top when it was done baking. soooo yummy! i loved it.

Pork Hash Brown Bake

Reviewed: May 26, 2009
this was a very yummy and filling recipe. i omitted the canned mushrooms because they aren't too good compared to fresh and i didn't have any on hand. i accidently used a whole bag of hash browns so it wasn't as creamy as i hoped it would be....but that was my mistake. all in all both my husband and i really enjoyed it. i didn't have corn flakes so i crushed up some cheese-it's and cheddar french fried onions and threw that on top, omitting the butter. it's not needed with those type of crackers.

Sloppy Joes II

Reviewed: May 19, 2009
i did not like this at all....and i made it just like it was written and it just tasted like a bunch of meat with ketchup on it....not tasty at all and didn't taste anything like the sloppy joes that i am used to. i will just stick with the mix from now on....i guess i just have to live with not making everything from scratch.

Chocolate Surprise Cupcakes

Reviewed: May 15, 2009
amazing recipe!! i have never made cupcakes from scratch before and i am soooo happy i decided on this recipe. if i could give it 10 stars i would. i followed the recipe just as written EXCEPT i filled the cup 1/3 full with chocolate mix and then a dollop of cream cheese filling and then filled the rest full of chocolate mix. i wanted them to look just like chocolate cupcakes so when you bite in you get a gooey surprise. i added a thin layer of colored frosting to brighten it up. very moist and a HUGE hit at work. i brought them in for a co-workers birthday and they are GONE!!! i will make them over and over and over again.

Mushroom Pork Chops

Reviewed: May 13, 2009
i just love this recipe. this is not the first time i have made this, but the first time i have written a review. i did change a few things...nothing major. i browned the pork chops then set them aside while i sauteed the mushrooms and onions. i added the soup and 3/4 can of half and half. i poured that over the chops and let that simmer for about 20 minutes. pulled the chops out and added a little corn starch to the soup mix to thicken it up a little. served with rice and green beans. very good and simple.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: May 9, 2009
my first attempt at making cookies from scratch and......awesome, Awesome, AWESOME! i used baking powder instead of baking soda (on accident), left out vanilla extract because i didn't have any and added 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon for personal preference. turned out amazing! i surprised my husband with them and he gobbled up 4 of them in minutes....and the cookies aren't small. a recipe i will be sure to make more often.
