Chili Dog Casserole II

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2009
couldn't get past the tortilla idea. they turned out a little soggy (i even browned them a little) and the hotdogs didn't get an chili attention. might make again but with my own modifications.

very bland. i think it needed for beef flavor. next time i will just use the stroganoff mix.

Mushroom and Swiss Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2009
not good for me at all. the onions and mushrooms did not cook up and the swiss didn't melt like i wanted it to. all in all the chicken was bland. will not make again.

Baked Chicken Nuggets

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2009
oh my word, oh my word, oh my word! i cannot even describe how yummy these are. i leave out the special spices and just use garlic powder, salt and pepper. the breadcrumbs and parmesan cheese (sometimes use romano to change it up) give it enough pizzazz!! i make this about once a week! i do broil it at the end for about 5 minutes and it makes them nice and crispy.

Mini Meatloaves

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2009
this was good, not great. i used muffin tins like others suggested. perfect portions when you have two. i didn't like how mushy they were and the taste was a little bland. the sauce was WAY too sweet and i LOVE sweet sauces. i will probably make this again but leave out the milk or at least cut it down.

Ham and Cheese Breakfast Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2009
this was surprisingly good. i was nervous the bread would come out really soggy but it didn't. the recipe doesn't specify what bread to use so i cut up some dense french bread from costco and it was wonderful! i like to add more spices than called for and i forgot to. it was a little bland with just the suggested ingredients. still very yummy!

Chicken with Rice and Gravy

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2009
great concept, just bland gravy. i wish i would have taken the suggestions from other reviewers but i wanted to make it as written first. all in all a good recipe that i will use more often, just next time i will use chicken broth instead of water....oh and i tripled the gravy.

Grilled Brown Sugar Pork Chops

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2009
pretty good! i don't like cooking things on the grill that are marinated or coated because it makes a mess of my bbq. instead i just did it on the stove top and turned out yummy.

Chicken Breasts with Balsamic Vinegar and Garlic

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2009
I loved this!!! Very flavorful!!! I love balsamic vinegar so I found the quantity to be no problem at all. Only things I did different was added a little flour at the end to thicken up the sauce to make it gravy like as well as leave out the bay leaf and thyme (only because I didn't have any.) I served it with mashed potatoes and green beans.

Zucchini and Potato Bake

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2009
FANTASTIC! i sautéed some bite size chicken breast and mushrooms and threw that in to make a complete meal out of it! i wish i would have cut up the potatoes more because some of them were a little hard. i did slash some lemon juice on top but i don't think it changed the taste. all in all it was fantastic and i might even double the zucchini and skip the potatoes next time.

Corn Dog Muffins

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2009
i love this recipe. like other suggested i cut up each hot dog in to tiny pieces and mixed them in with the batter. i bought the "betty crocker" cornbread mix and i also followed the cooking instructions on that so i added the milk and butter to make sure they didn't come out dry. i also used cheese hotdogs to give it even more of a cheesy taste. i didn't have a muffin tin so i used a square tin and made cornbread instead of corn muffins. turned out great.
