Romanian Apple Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2014
This is wonderful!!! I have found a new cake for the holidays. Didn't have any walnuts. So moist and good. Got it out of the oven and it is nearly gone. Made a fresh pot of coffee to go with it as I was out of milk. Told my husband that it would be good with ice cream

This is wonderful recipe. Of course I do double it. There are never any leftovers. You are the boss of what goes in. I taste and then adjust the seasonings to our taste.

Seven Layer Gelatin Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2012
I have been making this for over 30 years. My sister-in-law made it all the time. It does take a long time to make but that is because a layer has to setup before the next can be poured over it. Now my grandson's love it. And they are 19 & 17. Nancy

Hasty Chocolate Pudding

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2011
Just put in the refrigerator. The sample I got off the spoon was great. Used Dutch Chocolate Cocoa witch is a dark cocoa. I did double the recipe and put it in some nice goblets. I used a pyrex 8 cup mixing bowl and didn't have any problems with bubble over. Added 2 Tbls butter because I doubled the recipe. Can't wait to eat it after dinner. Will become a staple in my kitchen.

Chili Dog Casserole I

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2011
I am not a fan of canned chili therefore I used brick chili. Canned chili to me is very runny. And I used the hog dogs whole not cut up. Nothing left in the pan. Everybody loved it. I have one grandson who doesn't like onion's so maybe next time I will make 2 one with onion's and one without. Also used Pepper Jack Cheese for a little kick. Will make many more times. Nancy

Sour Cream Pork Chops

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2010
Great recipe. Didn't have pork chops but I did have a pork tenderloin. Of course I doubled the rest of the recipe for the weight of the tenderloin. I also added some extra seasoning Mrs. Dash Southwest and used chicken broth instead of bouillion and water. It was wonderful. I will try this with a different cut of meat next time. Thanks Nancy

Slow-Cooked, Texas-Style Beef Brisket

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2009
Put it on last night so it would be ready when I got home from work. Left the last hour for my daughter to do. Well the sauce got poured over but it didn't get pulled apart. I will never cook a brisket on the grill again. Loved it and we are in Texas. Nanc

Monte Cristo Sandwich

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2009
My husband and I have been making these for years. We trim the bread and use butter instead of mustard. Then let set for 24 hours in refg. under a damp towel. Dip in egg mixture and deep fry. But why pay 7-15 dollars at resturant when you can do it at home. Nancy
