Whimpies

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2010
I'm anxious to try this recipe. Whimpies were always a staple sandwich served at most church & club functions in Indiana. Nobody had heard of a "Whimpie Sandwich" when I moved away from Indiana.

Cinnamon Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2009
Really, really good. A big improvement on traditional oatmeal cookies. I doubt I will ever make regular oatmeal cookies again. I used a lot of the suggestions from other comments (butter, half white/half brown sugar, extra cinnamon and a little nutmeg) and scaled the recipe to 60 servings. It still made a ton of cookies!

I made this for New Year's Dinner and served with pork roast. I thought it was very good. I will try again with Brats.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2009
I've been married for 20 years and my husband said this was the best pot roast I ever cooked for him. It's a keeper at our house. Very good flavor.

Breaded Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2009
I miss the Pork Tenderloin sandwiches we would get where we grew up in Indiana. Those were always deep-fried. This recipe has all the flavor without being deep-fried. It was a huge hit with my family. Looking forward to making this recipe again soon.

Potato Chip Cookies VI

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2003
Excellent!!! I got many compliments on these from my family to co-workers. Everyone wanted the recipe. My grandmother used to make Potato Chip Cookies, and this is very close to what I remember. I have also made them with chopped pecans, which gives it a flavor similar to a Pecan Sandie.

Colorful Corn Chowder

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2001
I made this as a starter for Thanksgiving dinner this year. Everyone loved it. My husband has been begging me to make it again. The only thing I did different was to use canned carrots instead of fresh. It cooked a little faster that way. This is a keeper for us. It was delicious.

Awesome Broccoli Casserole

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2001
Delicious!!! This reminded me of a recipe MY grandmother made with mixed vegetables. My whole family loved it. It is definately a keeper. I made it along with another recipe here: "Fancy Sammich", a pork tenderloin. Very good combination, very good recipe.
