Cucumber Sandwiches I

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2001
Very tasty. I made these for a party and everyone loved them. I put a little dill on the top also to make them look a little fancier. Since the party, I've made them a couple times just for my family because they liked them so much.

This is a great cake! Everyone loved it and said it was even better than a Ding Dong.

What a moist cake! This is the best banana cake I've ever made. I'll definitely make it again.

Autumn Cheesecake

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2001
I wasn't sure about this recipe at first because of the apple topping, but after making it, the apples on top were the best part! What a great cheesecake. I'm definitely going to make this again.

Chili Potato Burritos

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2001
I thought that these were really very good. Since so many people said they were bland, I added some diced green chiles and doubled the amount of spices. They were a nice change from ordinary enchiladas.

Angel's Yummy Bruschetta

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2001
Great bruschetta recipe. Very simple. I used shredded mozzarella on top and baked it a bit longer. I also added some balsamic vinegar because some of the other people did, but next time I think I'll go without.

Cheese Ball I

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2001
Very easy recipe. It was a hit at our Christmas Eve party. The only thing that was kind of confusing was that the shopping list called for shredded cheese but the recipe called for grated. In case anyone else is confused, the shredded worked fine.

Brown Family's Favorite Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2001
Very good pumpkin pie. The topping really makes it tasty. My mom, who doesn't like pumpkin pie, even said it was good. :)

Restaurant-Style Potato Skins

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2002
These tasted, in my opinion, better than a restaurant! I fried them in a deep fryer and they came out crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Great recipe!

Hash Brown Casserole II

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2002
Yum! I made this for a Mother's Day brunch and there was none left. I substituted cheddar soup and it came out excellent. I also left it in the oven for longer than suggested to get it a little crispier. Great recipe!

Make Ahead French Toast

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2002
Great recipe! You might think that there's not too much there when you first pour it in the pan, but it really plumps up when you start cooking it.

Chocolate Covered Strawberries

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2002
I never would have thought that making these would be so easy! I also used raspberries, which were REALLY good. I just stabbed them with a toothpick to dip and then laid them on wax paper.

Spicy Bean Salsa

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2002
Great recipe. Very easy. I did make a couple of changes. I omitted the canned peppers and added 4 large jalapenos, chopped. Sounds like a lot, but it wasn't very spicy. Next time I might add 5 instead. I also minced a clove of fresh garlic and added a little salt, omitting the garlic salt. I left it in the fridge for a day and a half to marinate, stirring it a couple of times. Delicious!

Luscious Spinach Artichoke Dip

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2002
There was something that was off when I made this last night. I'm not sure if it was too garlicky or too Romano cheese flavored. Whatever it was, it didn't go over too well and I followed the recipe exactly.

This was VERY easy to make and VERY good. I'll definitely be making this again. Plus, it's much prettier than the can of cranberries on the table! :)

Rempel Family Meatloaf

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2002
This is a really good meatloaf and easy to make. My husband and I just recently started eating meat again (after 10 years!) and this was the first meatloaf I made. If I can make it taste good, anybody can!

Artichoke Bruschetta

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2003
I made these yesterday for a pre-Easter dinner and they were a hit. I didn't add all of the red onion called for because it seemed like way too much and I'm glad that I omitted some because they could have used even a little less. Still they were very good and very easy to make. Also, I didn't put them in the broiler. I put them in the oven at 325 for about 5 minutes. I'll definitely be making them again.

Honey Glazed Ham

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2003
I wish I could add more stars to my review because this ham turned out great! I used a 9-1/2 lb butt portion ham that was not fully cooked. I cooked it for two hours with just a little water and pineapple juice in a pan tented with foil. I was using a meat thermometer, so once the temp reached about 100 degrees, I glazed it and let it cook until it reached 140 degrees. I halved the recipe for the glaze and it was more than enough for the ham. I also used brown sugar instead of the corn syrup. I didn't broil it at the end and I kept the foil on it for the entire cooking time so it didn't dry out. I can't believe how good this ham tasted. Our guests were taking samples as my husband was slicing it for the dinner. I'll never again buy a honey-baked ham for the $50 or whatever it is they charge!

Lasagna Alfredo Roll Ups

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2003
These are the best! I made them for a baby shower and people just loved them. They're so easy and look so fancy that it looks as if they're hard to make. I made the recipe exactly how it said to and wouldn't change a thing.
