Chocolate Chip Muffins

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2012
I added 1/4 cup sour cream, as someone else suggested, used regular chocolate chips, and didn't use the sugar/brown sugar topping. They turned out beautifully, but there was a flavor that seemed to be missing. Perhaps adding 1/2 tsp or 1 1/2 tsp vanilla would've helped, I'll try that next time. The muffins turned out light and fluffy and I got all thumbs up from my kids and little nephews this morning. My nephews said "you're a great baker, Auntie!" I'll take that ANY day!! Thanks for sharing your recipe. I will make them again, just maybe with some vanilla next time.

Chilled Christmas Punch

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2009
I've never made a punch before that had quite the "delicious factor" as this punch did! I just made it for a Christmas family gathering and I got soooo many comments & compliments on how good it was! I agree with another reviewer - the cinnamon TOTALLY added to the "Christmas flavor" of this punch! The only thing about the ingredients - I planned on doubling the recipe (so I put double the water, cinnamon & sugar in the pot.) However, after adding double the cran-apple juice, I only had room in my punch bowl for one of the recommended size cans of pineapple juice and one liter of ginger ale. After stirring it all together, I thought I might have ruined it (because I didn't add the other can of pineapple juice or the other liter of ginger ale.) Actually, the flavor was OUTSTANDING just the way it was!!! I also added some cinnamon sticks. The punch had the most beautiful color & SUCH a delicious flavor!! Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing such a wonderful "Christmas Punch" recipe. I will be making this recipe for many Christmases to come! Yum!!!

Country Green Beans

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2009
WOW!!! These were Delicious!!! I made them for Thanksgiving this year, praying that they'd turn out as good as all the reviews said they did. Yup! They did. :o) I used real bacon pieces, down the salad aisle. I also took the advice of using Chicken Broth instead of water. Someone in my family came up to me as I was cooking the onion, garlic & butter & they were SHOCKED at what looked like a TON of onions! I coarsely cup up 1 1/4 big onions, and much to his delight - it was DELICIOUS!!! I will make this recipe 100 times again and I will look forward to eating them on every single occasion!!! Thank you for sharing your yummy "Country Green Bean" recipe. I loved it! (I doubled this recipe for our Thanksgiving crowd. I threw the cut beans into already boiling water for 4 minutes, removed them from the hot water & shocked them with a cold water rinse. I guess it's supposed to bring out the bright green color and add to their flavor. I've never "blanched" anything before. A tip from a coworker of mine.)

Super Moist Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2009
I've NEVER made pumpkin bread before, but thought your recipe would be perfect for Thanksgiving this year. I was RIGHT! I made a recipe with nuts and another recipe without. Although I am partial to NOT having nuts in my breads, BOTH varieties turned out fabulous!!! You know you did good when even your picky grade-schoolers tell you it's "Yummy, Mom!" Thank you for this wonderful recipe. I will make it again for Christmas, but I think I'll have to make maybe a DOZEN loaves (to give away as gifts!) Very moist, as the name suggests. I did have a hard time finding "coconut milk" in the grocery store until a very nice young worker helped me find it down the oriental food aisle.

Buttermilk Cinnamon Rolls

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2009
I've always wanted to make homemade cinnamon rolls, but never have until just now. I made your recipe super late at night for my daughter's birthday breakfast in the morning. These cinnamon rolls turned out BEAUTIFULLY! I'm not Julia Child or anything, but I followed your recipe to the letter and they turned out GREAT! Thumbs up from the whole family!! Thank you for a recipe that I will cherish as my VERY FIRST homemade cinnamon rolls! I look forward to making these again & again, and I just know that they'll be a family tradition now! Thank you!!!

Meatloaf with Fried Onions and Ranch Seasoning

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2009
I followed this recipe to the letter, and it turned out PERFECT! I love that it was an easy recipe with easy ingredients - and it was LOADED with delicious flavor!! My husband gave me the 2 thumbs up, and I will DEFINITELY be making this again!!! My only note is that I would for sure bake it for the full 60 minutes, and maybe even a few minutes more than that. (Thank you for sharing your yummy recipe!)
