Delicious Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2010
I made the low fat version and added half a bag of semi- sweet chocolate chips. I made muffins not loaves. Just make sure you use puffin liners if you use chocolate chips, or the chips may stick to the pan. I haven't ever had that happen but some say it's possible. Very awesome with chocolate chips!

Deep-Dish Blackberry Pie

Doesn't make enough filling with 3 cups. Try doubling or just adding a cup or so more.

Fresh Strawberry Pie I

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2010
Far too sweet. I even started out with less sugar than called for and the sweetness was overpowering. Would be good with less sugar or more berries.

Candied Sweet Potatoes

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2009
This is fantastic as is. but if youre worried about the butter amount use a lb more yams or sweet potatoes. thats what i did. after baking as the recipe said i dint put the topping on. i let it set over night(i made it the night before) then topped with glazed pecans a little bit more brown sugar and large marshmallows.baked at 350 for 10 min or til brown. OMG my boyfriends 70 yr old gramma told me it was the best sweet potatoes shes ever eaten! and shes SOUTHERN!!!

Marbled Pumpkin Cheesecake

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2009
would be 5 stars if you double the filling. otherwise its pretty thin in a 9in pan. and i had to bake it for an hour before it was close to set which caused the crust to burn because it was prebaked next time ill double the filling and not prebake the crust.

Perfect Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2009
pretty good. I made it how the recipe said.It seemed to be missing something though... I used a marie callenders deep pie crust and doubled the whole recipe. I had a little left over that i used to marble a butter pecan cake mix i prepared as the box said then put the extra mix on top then ran and swirled a knife through it to marble. baked around 40 min at 325 in a 9x13 glass pan. it was AMAZING! 2 good desserts out of one recipe

Loco Moco

This is really good with sausage as well, not link sausage but the kind you make in to patties and fry. Use whatever kind you like, but just regular sausage is really good.

Pear Bread I

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2009
I suggest using very ripe pears. Just like with banana bread, you would use very ripe bananas. This is how you get more moisture and flavor.

Magic Cookie Bars II

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2009
I think the pan size for this recipe with the measurements it provides should be an 8x8 pan. Using a 9x13 seemed too large. I even added half cup of graham cracker crumbs for the crust and it still didnt spread all the way out without having a lot of holes. I used 3/4 cup each butterscotch, semisweet and dark chocolate chips and it seems awfully thin. I havent tasted them yet but Im sure the flavor will be good. I will make them again in a smaller pan.
