OREO® Triple Layer Chocolate Pie

Reviewed: May 22, 2013
I used the mint Oreo cookies because those are our favorites, and it turned out to be very yummy! I was worried that I hadn't crushed the cookies up finely enough, but the crust solidified just fine. The preparation is messy, but it's very easy. I will make this again!

Oatmeal Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2011
A great base recipe for delicious cookies! I added mini chocolate chips, dried cranberries, pecans, and a dash of pumpkin pie spice. They had a really nice harvest flavor. Thanks -- I'll definitely use this again.

Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies II

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2011
Just finished baking these cookies (followed the recipe exactly) -- they were pretty tasty straight out of the oven. I didn't think they were quite as delicious as some of the other reviewers, but they satisfied my sweet tooth. I might make them again, but I'll probably look for another recipe before I return to this one. These needed a little something extra -- nuts, maybe?

Hasty Chocolate Pudding

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2011
I was disappointed with this recipe after all of the five-star reviews, and I'm a big chocolate lover who was having a craving. I was drawn to this recipe by the "quick and easy" comments and by the fact that I had all the ingredients in my cupboard. I followed the directions carefully, yet I was putting the pudding back in the microwave after stirring for more than thirty minutes because it just would not thicken. I expected "shiny and thick" to mean a texture like that of your typical pudding, yet it never seemed to get that thick -- it was basically like cake batter. So, finally I decided that it needed to be cooled in the fridge to thicken (but so many others said they liked it warm?!). I got tired of standing by the microwave and stirring and stirring and stirring. Finally, I just stuck it in the fridge while it was still cake batter texture. It has been cooling for about twenty minutes now, and it is a little bit thicker, but it certainly doesn't have the texture of your typical pudding, and I would definitely not call it "quick." The flavor is delicious, but what a hassle!! Maybe after an hour of refrigeration this will be like a pudding. . .

Thai Curry Chicken and Rice

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2010
We tried this recipe a few days ago with shrimp, and it was fantastic! We also substituted yogurt for cream cheese, and it still had a great flavor. I added garlic and extra curry -- but it didn't need it. Tonight we're trying it with chicken because its so easy and quick!

Rhubarb Strawberry Cake

Reviewed: May 15, 2010
The only problem I have with this recipe is that it is called "cake." When you make it, you will discover that it is delicious, but it is more like a cobbler (but not as sweet) than like a cake. I followed this recipe exactly the first time. The second time I meant to follow it exactly because it was wonderful, but accidentally put in a whole cup of oatmeal rather than 3/4. It still turned out to be great. You will receive lots of compliments if you bake this dish. :) I used a 9" x 13" square dish rather than a round one. Thanks so much for sharing this recipe, Roxanne!

This is an excellent recipe for very peanut buttery, soft, chewy yummy cookies! I love that I had all the ingredients in my cupboard, and they were quick. Thanks for sharing this recipe!

Cream Cheese Jalapeno Hamburgers

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2010
Here's how we did it: We mixed together 1 lb of ground beef, 4 ounces of cream cheese, and approx. 1/4 cup of sharp, shredded provolone. Then added a tablespoon of Worcestershire and two diced jalapenos. This mixture made four medium-size patties. Because we wrapped them in bacon held on with toothpicks, they stayed together fairly well while they cooked. These hamburgers had a unique, delicious flavor, and they were nice and juicy. Yummy! We'll definitely try this again. Thanks for the recipe!

Cheesy Ranch Potato Bake

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2010
I made this for a potluck, and it was tasty. I reduced the butter like other reviewers suggested, and I'm glad I did! I didn't peel the potatoes either, and it turned out just fine. The chili powder and ranch dressing give this a nice flavor, but I think next time I'll add some onion and bacon to give it more of a baked potato kind of taste. This recipe is a great base to work from. The leftovers were delicious too! I heated the potatoes up, added crumbled bacon and scrambled eggs and it made a really tasty, filling morning meal.

Spinach Lasagna III

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2010
This was delicious! My fiance and I are trying to eat one vegetarian meal a week, but this lasagna lasted us for quite a while (and it was good reheated). I will definitely make this again.

Coriander and Cumin Rubbed Pork Chops

It took longer than ten minutes for the chops to cook completely, but I didn't mind a few extra minutes when I tasted them.

Raw Vegetable Salad

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2009
I made this salad for a Christmas party, and along with everyone else in attendance, I really liked it! I took the advice of some of the reviewers and used almonds instead of peanuts. I also used Miracle Whip instead of Mayo. I was surprised by the number of people who doubled this recipe because it already makes a bunch. The only thing I might do different next time is make additional dressing -- it just didn't seem like there was quite enough. Another thing is that the name "raw vegetable salad" really doesn't do this delicious recipe justice. It should be called something like super delicious, crunchy heaven. :)

Chicken Oreganato

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2009
This was a good recipe for three reasons: 1) It was tasty. 2) I didn't have to run out of my house and pick up a bunch of obscure ingredients that I'll never use again. 3) It was easy and quick. Okay, that's four reasons but it was good. :)

Banana Sour Cream Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2009
This was pretty tasty! I made two loaves and twelve muffins instead of four loaves of banana bread. I thought this could use some more walnuts, and the suggestion about adding a crumbly topping sounds like a good one. I will definitely make this again.

Quick and Easy Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2009
I was not expecting this chicken to be as flavorful as it was! I chose this recipe because I had all the ingredients, and it would be ready in about 30 mins. I doubled the sauce like other reviewers suggested, and it turned out just fine. This is definitely a quick, easy recipe.

Peach Muffins

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2009
Definitely tasty and original! I added a strudel topping to give them a bit more sweetness, and I also added pecans to the recipe. The dough was a bit dry as other reviewers have mentioned. So, I added about one tablespoon of milk.

Cajun Spiced Pork Chops

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2009
This tasted fine but I didn't get much of the "cajun" flavor. Next time I might add a little something hotter to give it more of a cajun taste.
