A little too sloppy, and a little sweet, next time I think I'll cut back on the BBQ sauce and brown sugar, and use a little more beef.

Date Balls

I loved these as a kid and when my mother died she didn't leave any recipes for anything, which was probably good, because she wasn't much of a cook, however, I haven't made cookies in 35 yrs. I decided to make these to take to my Christmas party at work, everyone raved, and I am definately not a baker! Next time I'll put the dates in the food processor, too sticky to chop with a knife. Loved the results, though!

Garlic and Herb Cream Cheese

Better than Boursin!!!!!!! This will be my go to recipe for sure. Much more flavorful than store bought. I use this type of cheese all the time for things like crab stuffed muchrooms, pork wellington and simply with crackers. Thanks!!!!

Marinated Baked Pork Chops

I tried this recipe last night, I have to admit, I didn't have high expectations, but I was amazingly surprized at how good it actually was. This will be one I will try again and again. Next time I will line the pan with foil, as the sauce burnt on the bottom of the pan and took a lot of elbow grease to remove!

Slow Cooker Beef Au Jus

I tried this recipe and found it to be a little on the salty side, however, the flavors were good. I would recommend a low sodium broth as you can always add more salt.

Wisconsin Bratwurst

Being born and raised in Wisconsin,this recipe is very close to being right, however, the key is to grill the brats first, then put them in the beer, onions, and butter and let them simmer. The longer they simmer, the better they are and you can actually taste the beer and onions instead of grilling off all the flavors!!!
