Cabbage Rolls II

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2010
I made these last night and they turned out great, especially since I've never made cabbage rolls before. Based on other reviews I did make a couple of small changes. I added some garlic powder to the mixture and some Mrs. Dash as well (we're watching our sodium intake). I also used the process outlined by other posters for removing the leaves from the cabbage. First I cut around the core of the cabbage and then placed in in a pot of boiling water. Within about a minute the leaves started pulling away and it was pretty easy from there. I baked it in the oven at 350 for about an hour with double the sauce and it came out perectly!

Turkey Shepherd's Pie

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2010
I made this the other night and it turned out really great. I couldn't believe how easy it was and it went together very quickly. I actually added peas and chopped the carrot instead of shredding it and substituted a bit of low sodium chicken broth for the chicken bouillon, just because that's what I had. I'd recommend this to anyone!

Slammin' Salmon

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2010
I made this for the second time last night and we just loved it!!!! Like other reviewers I left out the peanut oil and it turned out great! I also baked it at 375 for 20 -25 mins (mine were still partially frozen) and they were just amazing! These are going to be a regular staple at our house.

Mouse's Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2011
I made this last week and it turned out great. Really the only changes I made were the type of pasta I used and instead of the Velveeta cheese I used a sharp white cheddar (I'm trying to get away from processed ingredients when I can). Even my husband who thinks I go a little nutty with cheese in my mac and cheese attempts thought this was perfect!

Old Fashioned Potato Salad

Reviewed: May 9, 2011
Just made this over the weekend and it turned out great! I did cut back on the relish and onion and added a bit more mayo, just because that's the way we prefer it. This was a great base recipe to adjust to your families likes! I will definitely be making this again!!!

Jamie's Minestrone

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2011
I've made this about twice a month since I found it and it's tured out great every single time. The only realy changes that I've made is to substitute peas for the green beans, and to add garbanzo beans. I keep meaning to make it with the spinach but I never seem to have it on hand when I make it (still great with out it). This is a staple in our house!

Best Brownies

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2013
These brownies were amazing. I actually used them for a base on a chocolate chip cookie dough brownie and they were perfect (left off the frosting since I was topping with chocolate chip cookie dough dip). They are just flying out of the pan at the work event I brought them too. After reading a lot of the reviews I stuck almost completely with the recipe with the exception of adding a bit more cocoa powder. I don't know if I ended up with 1/2 a cup, but I did use more than 1/3. Definitely give these a try!

Cranberry Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2013
Just made this today and it turned out great! I let it simmer a bit longer and made sure to help break up the cranberries with a spoon and then a potato masher. This seemed to help it thicken.
