Cheese Garlic Biscuits II

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2011
These turned out flat and tasted like crackers. I am an experienced baker and these were not the biscuits that I thought they would be.

As a tofu fan and a peanut butter lover, this was AMAZING! An easy way to make an excellent dinner.

Crispy Orange Beef

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2011
As a vegetarian, I use tofu instead of beef, but the real star in this recipe is the SAUCE. It's absolutely amazing. It is rather on the sweet side, but I enjoy that once in a while. However, I would suggest making a double batch of the sauce because it doesn't go all that far in your meal!

Butter Bean Burgers

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2011
Easily the best "veggieburgers" I've ever had. Even my fiance, who isn't vegetarian, loved them! He says that they taste like crabcakes.

Butter Chickpea Curry

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2011
This is such a great, easy recipe! It tastes delicious and it only took me half an hour to make. Even when I make enough for leftovers, my family and I eat the entire pan of food!

Fried Rice Restaurant Style

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2011
This recipe was pretty good, but it was a little too simple for me. In order for there to be any flavor, you needed to add loads of soy sauce and vegetable broth. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, it just should be stated in the recipe that you'll need a lot of salty liquids to get the flavor just right.

Breaded, Fried, Softly Spiced Tofu

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2011
This tofu was AMAZING. I added considerably more spices than it called for, but I like a good zing in my food. One thing you should note is that unless you press out a LOT of the vegetable broth, the tofu will be very squishy on the inside. To de-squishify it, either press out more liquid OR freeze it for a few hours OR bake it at a low heat for 10-30 minutes.

My Crab Cakes

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2011
I made these for my husband's birthday (crabcakes are his favorite) and he LOVED them. I'm a vegetarian and it was hard for me to cook without tasting in between, but they turned out pretty good based on my hubby's opinion! I mixed all the non-crab ingredients together and then divided the result into two and put them in separate bowls. In one, I used the normal crab, but in the other, I used mashed Northern White beans so that I could eat them--it was fantastic! Tasted like a really good bean burger.

Basic Flaky Pie Crust

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2012
This was absolutely the WORST pie crust I've ever made. I followed the recipe exactly but I just ended up with a crumbly tasteless mess.

Coffee Icing

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2012
This did not turn out well for me at all. It was too gritty, too sweet, and wasn't smooth at all. I followed the directions precisely but I could not get this recipe to work!

Better Than Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2012
It definitely tasted different from pumpkin pie, but I loved it! It was a little too sweet for me as is, so maybe next time I'll decrease the sugar a bit.
