About this Cook
i love to cook for people i love and to make them feel special by making nice things for them.
My favorite things to cook
the things my mom made for us growing up, dominican food, anything that looks interesting or challenging.
My cooking triumphs
i recently attempted making fondant and it turned out perfectly!
My cooking tragedies
i have had many--that's how i have figured out what works, by messing up! the biggest was when i had 15 people expecting supper and all my lasagna noodles stuck together. i was so frustrated i chucked them across the room. then i took a deep breath and figured i would just make the sauce a little "soupier" and put dry noodles in. it turned out fine and no one knew i had been in tears a couple hours before!

Frosting for German Chocolate Cake
wonderful! i accidently left out the butter and it was the perfect consistency to frost my cake with. would also recommend a little vanilla and a pinch of salt to add even better flavor. (i also used pecans instead of walnuts)
