I am a wife, a mommy to two little ones, a teacher and juggling all of that puts me a little on the insane side! I find peace in my kitchen and love cooking a dinner while my babies "help" (tug on my pants and bang some pots and pans).
My favorite things to cook
My favorite thing to cook is grilled lobster. I started making it about a year ago when I realized I could make it for half the price and twice as good (thanks to allrecipes) at home. I also love to make fresh salsa and eat it on anything!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Since my family is just starting so are my traditions. Last Christmas we all made fudge and it was a mess. None of the recipes set up and we ended up just eating the gloppy mess...which come to think of it was probably equally delicious.
My cooking tragedies
Christmas Fudge (see above). Cheese sauce...grainy, stringy coagulated blob.

Grilled Rock Lobster Tails
To.Die.For. I have made these grilled rock lobster tails for the past three New Year's Eve dinners and they are delish! The oil/lemon/etc keep them from drying out on the grill and the presentation of the split tail is huge on wow-factor. My only tip is to watch these on the grill...don't walk away for a minute.

Spicy Refrigerator Dill Pickles
Oh. My. Gosh. I am a self proclaimed pickle addict (I eat 1 or 2 a day) and these were some of the best that I have ever tried. I only gave four stars because I wasn't a fan of the sweetness. Next time I think I will reduce the sugar drastically or leave it out all together. Yummmmm!

Spicy Lime-Cilantro Marinated Flank Steak
I would marinate anything in this! Steak, shrimp, an old crusty boot...seriously, it is THAT good!
