Iced Pumpkin Cookies

These were really tasty cookies. I scooped them way to big so they were more like muffin tops! Thanks for the recipe, I'd make these again!

Bake Sale Lemon Bars

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2010
These were super easy to make and very good. I personally like stronger flavors so I think I would include some lemon zest next time to kick up the flavor... that being said, everyone really loved the subtleness of the lemon and they were all snatched up right away!!

Toasted Party Mix

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2010
Made this recipe but only had butter, it was way too buttery and salty for my taste. Next time I will reduce the amount of salt, use margarine and probably pour the mixture OVER the chex so that some arent' so saturated while others are dry.

Fudge Truffle Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2010
This was my first cheesecake attempt and I couldn't get over how EASY it was! After reading many of the review, I switched to the oreo crust. Got lots of compliments on Christmas and everyone wanted the recipe... yes it's very rich but the name doesn't hid that, just take a conservative piece!

Pastry Cream

After struggling to make simple holiday cookies, I was terrified to try this recipe for my fruit tart filling. IT WAS EASY AND AMAZING, even for an amateur baker like myself.

Amazing Italian Lemon Butter Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2010
This recipe was VERY good. I made it for Christmas and even my picky sisters and father were coming back for more! Would like to try a low fat version if I make for a regular night's dinner.

Maple Cookies

These cookies have a nice, subtle flavor. They were gone in minutes! I dipped half the cookie in a thin vanilla glaze. Definitely a hit!

Merlot-Peppercorn Steak Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2009
I followed most of the suggestions- cut worcestershire in half, added a bit more wine- but still could have cut down on the vinegar. Overall good recipe but needs some fine tuning for me.

The Best Mashed Potatoes

this recipe was good. I used low fat where possible and only did half the amount of cream cheese. Don't overmix... this turns gluey very quickly!!

Unbelievable Rolls

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2009
I used 2c wheat flour 3c white flour... next time I would do a 1:4 ratio. Don't over kneed... mine came out a little heavy. Overall great taste though!

BBQ Pork for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2009
Easy, good recipe. We added some extra spices and chilis to bump up the flavor- the hardest part is deciding on a BBQ sauce... then let the slow cooker do the work!
