About this Cook
wino.
My favorite things to cook
Vegan cupcakes, cookies and cakes. Italiano! mmm... I LOVE asian cooking. WOK. Trying to invent new recipes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My GGgrandparents are from Germany. A long standing tradition is stuffed cabbage rolls. They are usually made with ground beef so I replace that with vegi "meat" or carrots. Or both.
My cooking triumphs
I made tiramasu the other day. It turned out pretty.
My cooking tragedies
A lot. I'll just leave it at that.

Corn Dogs
The batter is perfect for dipping anything not just hot dogs. I am vegetarian so I used Yves brand veggie hot dogs. WOW. is all i can say. so good, and of course less fat.

Red Skinned Potato Salad
Okay, so I know this is going to sounds strange but I added about a half cup of pine nuts and omitted the celery. Instead of adding the onion I chopped up some green onions - a lot because I like it that way and made sure the bacon was extra crispy. I see a lot of people used miracle whip - YUCK! I hate miracle whip. so I stuck with the mayonnaise but added some sour cream for a lighter, healthier texture. Instead of red skinned potatoes I used regular brown ones.

Tangy Pear and Blue Cheese Salad
This dressing is y-u-m-m-y! YUMMY! I replaced the sugar with honey as it makes it creamier and healthier.
