Sauerkraut Meatball Soup

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2013
I cheated & used frozen meatballs, as I already had them on hand. Otherwise, I followed this recipe to the tee. I love sauerkraut & I love meatballs, so the combination in this soup was heaven to my taste buds! Thank you for sharing this recipe, I'll be making it again ... but will probably cut the recipe in half as this made a HUGE batch of soup, it definitely serves more than 8.

Yum!! I started 'The South Beach Diet' one year ago, so was looking for recipes I could eat & enjoy ... this one was a winner!! It's been one of my regular meals & within 5 months I'd lost 30 pounds! So thank you for submitting this recipe, I've enjoyed eating it and also enjoyed the healthy benefits :)

Brownie Mix in a Jar II

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2012
I'm planning to make these for an upcoming bazaar sale, so made the recipe beforehand. I had no problems fitting the ingredients into a regular quart mason jar, I had no wide mouth on hand, and the ingredients fit just fine in a regular. The only change I made when preparing the recipe was to substitute an equal amount of vegetable oil for the butter. These turned out perfectly & are delicious! I'm pleased with the recipe & will definately be adding them to the 'recipes in a jar' list for the bazaar.

Boilermaker Tailgate Chili

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2012
Yum! My husband even commented on how good this was. I omitted the celery as I didn't have any, substituted H2O for the beer & used cumin seed rather than ground cumin as I didn't have that either. Other than those few changes, I followed the recipe exactly & it turned out great! I always hated making chili because mine never turned out good. I will now use this recipe when I'm in the mood for chili, thanx!!

Cabbage and Noodles with Ham

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2012
I was looking for a recipe to use up all the ham leftover from Easter & this one was a hit! Very easy to make & tasted delicious! I followed the recipe exactly other than I didn't have any gnocchi on hand (I've never even heard of gnocchi, lol) so I used maybe a cup & a half of rotini noodles. Delicious & I'll definately be making this again! Thanx for the recipe, Scott!!

French Bread Rolls to Die For

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2012
Very tasty & easy! My husband even gave rave reviews, which is unusual for him :) My only trouble was the damp towel sticking to the top of the rolls ... not quite sure what the trick is to that. But, I'll definately make these again! Edit /Update: I made these again & covered the rolls with plastic wrap sprayed with non-stick spray, this worked! So they were not only tasty, but pretty :)

Meatball Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2012
This was good! I did doctor it with a bit more garlic & celery salt (as I didn't have any celery). I also added 1.5 cups of pasta & one can of garbanzo beans. I enjoyed it & will make this again!

Cheddar Baked Chicken

Deeeeeeeeelicious!!!! I followed this recipe almost to the tee ... however, I didn't have any milk on hand so substituted a dollup of sour cream in place of the milk. I have a recipe book that I put all of my favorite recipes in & this one made the book!! Yum, yum, yum!! Thank you for this recipe :)

Fabulous Wet Burritos

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2009
I am so glad I found this recipe! I live an hour away from the nearest city that serves wet burritos, so am happy that I can make them at home and they taste just like the ones in the restaurant! Delicious! The only changes I made were to omit the cumin and the tomato soup. Great recipe, thank you, thank you!
