Slow Cooker Teriyaki Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2013
BF LOVED this dish! Kept telling me this was the best tenderloin I had ever cooked! Followed master recipe except for the peppers, which I didn't have. Substituted dried peppers/pepper flakes because we like it spicy. Pork was cooked in 5 hours at LOW. Let meat rest and - per reviews - thickened sauce with a bit of cornstarch. Also added a can of baby corns and bamboo shoots to sauce at this point (water chestnuts would have worked as well). Steamed some broccoli and fresh green beans. Layered meat, broccoli, and beans over rice and spooned sauce over all. Yummy!

I bought the ready-made pie crusts and I also added 1/2-1 cup of sliced mushrooms.

Guacamole

Reviewed: May 12, 2011
This recipe makes absolutely great guac! I like my guacamole kind of chunky, so didn't mash all the avocadoes. Took this to a housewarming party - and we're picky about our guacamole here in TX - and the men basically parked themselves around the bowl until it was all gone. Highly recommend this!

Roasted Lemon Herb Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2010
a super easy recipe and the house smells wonderful while it's roasting! Combined all ingredients of seasonings + lemon juice + olive oil in bowl (used herbes de provence and Greek seasoning instead of Italian) and rubbed mixture inside chicken as well as under skin and over skin. Also rubbed inside w/ butter and inserted pats under skin. Stuffed w/ garlic cloves, lemon halves, fresh rosemary and oregano. Turned out great! BF ate half the chicken himself

Broiled Pork Chops

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2010
These were delicious! I only had 3 chops and the amount of sauce was good for that as I put them in the slow cooker for 4 hours. I also added a generous amount of Sriracha Hot Sauce for some kick.

French Meat Pie

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2010
My French-Canadian aunt used to make this for Christmas Eve dinner. Sadly I neglected to get the written recipe, but I knew it had allspice in it - that's what gives it such a distinctive flavor. Brings back wonderful memories and so yummy!

Boston Cooler

Nothing in the world beats this Detroit treat! Unfortunately, Vernors gingerale has COMPLETELY changed their recipe, but it still beats any other gingerale out there.
