Married, mother of two girls 11 yrs old and 1 month old. I used to work in a small family owned restaurant, so I learned alot there. I like to bake, and I like to grill. I would love to learn to make bread, but all attempts have failed. I don't have a stand mixer with bread hook so that may be why. I like to try to give my family a large variety of meals that are easy as I work full time. Cook and freeze, and the slow cooker are my friends! My mom always made simple cut out sugar cookies for every holiday. We would use holiday appropriate cutters and frost them in holiday colors. I also try to can in the summer and fall with whatever I grew. That is something I have always done with my mom. My carmel bread pudding. It is a restaurant recipe and is very rich, expensive and time consuming. I also have mastered pie crust. I still cant flute the edge or make it look pretty, but the consistancy and taste are spot on. Any and all attempts at bread. Even quick bread.
