I did not review this recipe because I changed it so drastically. I kept the amounts of the spices and sugar the same, and added a tablespoon of powdered cocoa. I put the spices in a plastic bag with the raw steaks and a cup or so of the Cab-Sauv wine. After marinating for 1-2 hours, I pan-cooked the steaks in the marinade and served without the gorgonzola topping, alongside mom's cornbread recipe and an avocado salad also from allrecipes.com.
