Easy Chicken Rice Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2009
This was so simple and my whole family liked it. I cut my chicken in small pieces and only cooked it an hour. We added a little salt and pepper, and it was great.

Cheesy Goulash

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2009
It was pretty good. I did add salt, pepper, garlic powder and a little celery salt. I also added beef broth, because I thought it needed some moisture. I think it took a long time to prepare. It made way too much for my family of 5. It made a lot of dirty dishes too!

Mushroom Slow Cooker Roast Beef

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2009
This was a hit. I have made something similar, but without the beer. This time I used this recipe minus the mushrooms and added 4 beef bouillon cubes. My husband loved it! He said it was better than his moms, so it must have been good. This would also be good with some peppers in it I think.

Boilermaker Tailgate Chili

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2009
AWESOME!!! We loved it! Finally a chili that my husband would not change. I altered the recipe a little. He is not a fan of tomato-ie chili and doesn't like a thick chili, so here is what I did... I did not add the tomato paste. I left out the celery. Instead of the green chili's I just added a can of chopped green chilis. I added 4 Tablespoons of bacon bits. I added a whole can of beer. I added about 2 Tablespoons of chili powder instead of the 1/4 cup. I did not add the hot pepper sauce. I thought it was a little thick, so I added a 12oz can of tomato juice and 12oz of water. It was perfect for our family. Even my son ate it up!

Annie's Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon Chips

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2010
I took this salsa to a party last night and it was a hit. I ended up taking out the raspberries and putting in 1 lb. of frozen peaches and used peach preserves. It was wonderful! The tortillas were a hit too!

Finnish Style Mojakka

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2010
Loved it. It was soooo good. My husband even complimented and usually he picks things apart. I did add about a tsp. of allspice to it per some of the other reviews. I cooked mine longer too. After the veggies went in I cooked it for about 2 more hours instead of 1 1/2 hrs. The meat was so tinder. Can't wait for left overs at lunch today!

My Kid's Favorite Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2010
VERY GOOD! My whole family ate it up. No left overs darn! I think next time I will try a different BBQ sauce. I used a sweet one which was fine, but we all agreed it would be even better with one that was not so sweet.

Chocolate Truffle Cookies

I love these cookies. They almost melt in your mouth. My hubby that is not much on sweets thought they were way to rich. I say the richer the better!

Rainbow Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2010
I put this in a bunt cake pan and served it at Christmas and it was a hit. Who knew jello could be such a hit. It was very attractive and I had a lot of compliments on how nice it looked. I didn't use the exact same flavors, but it still tasted great.

Baked Buffalo Wings

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2010
LOVED these! My husband asks for them for every party we go to now. They are a hit everytime. I use boneless chicken strips sometimes too, I don't like wings as well... more work for little meat I think.

My family really liked this. I added 1/3 cup sour cream 1/2 cup milk, and instead of sliced cheese added some velveeta not too much probably 3/4 cup or so. It was very good!

Vanilla Glaze

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2010
This was a really good recipe. I did agree with others that it needed more milk so I used about a tablespoon or a little more of milk in this. I also like almond extract in my icing so I added about 1/4 tsp of that too. Our cinnamon rolls this morning were soooooo yummy!

Cinnamon Rolls I

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2010
These are awesome! I have never made homemade cinnamon rolls so I was sceptical on how they would turn out. I got up about 20 minutes early and they were ready for the kids before school. My husband and kids really loved them. I didn't have bread flour, but they turned out great without it, so will try bread flour next time and hope they are even better. I also put icing on ours. I used the vanilla glaze recipe on this site and it was awesome too.

Roast Sticky Chicken-Rotisserie Style

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2010
This is exactly what I've been looking for. I have a rotisserie oven and have tried chicken in it several times and it has never been great! This was great! I followed the recipe except for the following... I omitted white pepper, cut the cayenne and black pepper in half. At 7:30 this morning I removed the giblets and rinsed and dried the (4 lb.) chicken. I then rubbed it with olive oil and covered the inside and out with the spices and placed it back in the fridge until 9:45 when i placed it in the rotisserie and 2 hours later it was cooked to perfection! I did try to put the onion inside, but most of it fell out during cooking. I also collected the drippings and put them in a sauce pan and added a small can of chicken broth and 1 1/2 tsp. of cornstarch and brought it to a boil until thickened. Mashed some potatoes and it was a fantastic meal! Will have again soon since my picky hubby loved it!
