Crispy and Creamy Doughnuts

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2014
These doughnuts were fantastic! (almost too good, HAD to send home with family members before we ate them all!) I used my bread machine, and that made it so easy. I mixed the yeast and water, and warmed the milk to lukewarm with the shortening before adding to the bread machine. I then added the eggs (room temperature), sugar, salt and flour. I hit the dough setting, worked the flour in with a spatula and then let the machine finish doing the work! My daughter-in-law said I must open a bakery!!

Reuben Crescent Bake

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2014
Very good! I doubled the recipe and used a 9 x 13 pan. I did not use the full amount of Thousand Island dressing (my choice) and used the extra for dipping. I also added 1/2 teaspoon of caraway seeds to top and bottom crusts before baking!

3-Minute Fudge

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2013
Very good! I have made many times. You can add walnuts, peanuts and even add mini peanut butter cups to the mixture right before pouring fudge into pan!! I am going to add some chopped candy canes to the fudge I make for Christmas.

Peanut Butter Cup Cookies

Reviewed: May 20, 2013
I have made this recipe many times, love it!! I must admit that when I am rushed, I have made these using the purchased Toll House dough squares (24 PER PKG). I drop the dough into the prepared tartlet pans, bake for 6 minutes, add the PB cups and continue baking for 3-4 minutes, or until done. Sometimes I add Rick's butter cream frosting, from this site! They look just like those expensive purchased cookie cups!

Have Made this cake a number of times, and get rave reviews each time! I use orange extract in place of lemon, and also add orange zest to the cake. For Easter I also decorated the top of the cake with orange flavored buttercream frosting. I added some shredded coconut and jelly beans too!!
