Catherine's Spicy Chicken Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2011
Quick, easy and absolutely delicious! As I am sure many others have done, I made a few tweaks to this recipe to suit my own tastes, and it is absolutely incredible. In order to make this recipe less labor-intensive, I made it in a crock pot and let it cook throughout the day. Rather than sautéeing the onion and garlic, I just threw it all into the pot to cook. Tomato paste was substituted for the condensed tomato soup, as I don't like all of the ingredients I see on the label. I also chose to leave out the sour cream (although I'm sure it would be delicious). The verdict: a wonderful recipe that can be manipulated to your tastes and still turn out delicious!

Gyoza Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2011
Delicious! I drizzled this over chicken stir fry, and it was a very nice change from the normal sauce that I use. Tonight, I am going to try this as a steak marinade.

Pesto Grilled Cheese Sandwich

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2011
Yum! This was like a gourmet grilled cheese. I can't believe that I had never thought to put pesto and tomato (two of my favorite things!) on my grilled cheese. Using a good, substantial bread makes this recipe even more satisfying.

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2011
I can't say anything about this bread that hasn't already been said hundreds of times in these comments. It's absolutely delicious and tastes even better once it has had some time to settle. This is now my go-to pumpkin bread recipe.

Kidney Bean Tuna Salad

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2011
This was surprisingly delicious! I stumbled upon this recipe while searching for meal ideas that would fit into my new diet. This fit the bill, so I gave it a try in the hopes that it would be pretty tasty. This far exceeded my expectations and is now my favorite way to prepare tuna for my lunch. I recommend either rolling it up taco style in a lettuce leaf or just piling it on top of a salad -- it doesn't even need dressing!

Debdoozie's Blue Ribbon Chili

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2011
One of the simplest chili recipes I have ever made, and simply THE BEST. For seasoning, I used the recipe Chili Seasoning Mix II (from this site) minus the flour. Delicious! One word of advice for those who don't like spicy heat: watch the salsa that you use for this dish. I am no wimp when it comes to spiciness. I use a medium salsa, and the end result is always very spicy.

Chili Seasoning Mix II

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2011
I have used this seasoning many times when making Debdoozie's Blue Ribbon Chili (also on this site). Leave the flour out, and you are left with a very good, flavorful seasoning.
