Jagerschnitzel

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2014
I made this exactly as written. I loved it! My husband gives it a 4, but I say 5. We used veal.

Traditional Sauerbraten

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2014
This was very good in spite of the problems I had with it. I followed it exactly. After two hours of cooking on low on the stove, I smelled it burning and was shocked that most of the liquid was gone. I added some water. When I made the gravy, I am not sure I had enough liquid because the gravy was way too thick after a few minutes on the stove. I had to strain it and then add water. I was worried it had all been ruined, but it tasted good. I would like to try this again, but I would like to try cooking it in the oven or in the crockpot.

Chicken Breasts with Balsamic Vinegar and Garlic

Reviewed: May 29, 2014
I really liked this, but my husband said 3 or 4 stars. I followed the recipe, except I used chicken tenders. I tasted the sauce with every bite. I had to add a bit of water to the sauce at the end because there wasn't a lot of it. It turned out great. My young kids gave it 3 stars, which is high for them!

Sweet and Sour Chicken Tenders

Reviewed: May 27, 2014
We thought this was pretty good. It wasn't quite as flavorful as we expected. I would say 3 1/2 stars. I added some leftover diced onions. It definitely was tastier when I had a bite with the onions. I agree with others that it seems to be missing something. I served it on rice. It was an easy dish.

BBQ Chicken Sandwiches

I made this exactly as written. This was very good. Not the typical barbecue taste. It was sweet. It was easy.

Cilantro Chicken Burgers with Avocado

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2013
This was ok, but nothing great. I thought it was very peppery. That was the strongest flavor by far. I don't think we will make it again. I'd probably give it a 3, but my husband says 1 or 2.

Apple Crisp II

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2013
I used 6 granny smith apples and a fuji apple. I added a dash of nutmeg. It was very good. I give it a 4, but my husband gave it a 5. He loved it. My young kids did not care for it.

Apple Carrot Muffins

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2013
These are good, but not fantastic. They were easy. I grated a Granny Smith apple. I left the walnuts out so my toddler could eat the muffins too. I am the only one in my family of five who is eating them. Everyone tried them, but wasn't impressed.

Spicy Avocado Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2013
I thought this was great! It was different from the other chicken meals I usually cook. The only thing I changed was to use less red onion. My husband gave it four stars.

Pesto-Chicken Club Wrap

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2013
This was good, but not great. It was easy. I had to mix some cream cheese with pesto because my grocery store did not carry the cooking cream. I wish I could have tried it.

It's ok. The kids did not like it at all, but my husband and I thought it was just ok.

Breaded Chicken Fingers

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2012
Very good! It just took a couple of minutes per side to fry. I only had plain bread crumbs, so I added Italian seasoning to the mix. I also put in a pinch of cayenne pepper and paprika. I recoated them with eggs and then threw them back in the bag of crumbs. My 3 year old loved them!

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Added a dash of garlic powder, onion powder and pepper to the meat before browning it and putting it in slow cooker. Came out very tender! Husband loved it!

Cucumber Sandwich

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2012
This was great! The only different thing I did was toast the bread. I've been looking for a great sandwich, and this is it! It's a little messy, but oh so tasty.

Chicken Enchilada Slow Cooker Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2011
We thought this was really good. The only thing I added was 2 tablespoons of Ranch dressing mix (as others suggested). I liked it by itself and with sour cream and cheese on top. My husband, who is a bit harsher on the rating scale, gave it a 4.

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff I

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2011
I followed the first reviewer's suggestions. They were great. Added pepper and 3 cloves garlic. Doubled the soup and water. Do not use Cream of Mushroom. Reduced the cooking time to about 6 hours on low and 1/2 hour on high. Added a "dollup" of sour cream when I added the cream cheese. Added a beef bullion cube. Added a half packet of onion soup mix. Added 8 oz package of sauteed mushrooms 1/2 hour before serving. Served over egg noodles. Absolutely loved it! The beef was so tender and the sauce was tasty! I also served it with bread to soak up the extra sauce. I froze the leftovers.

Turkey Tetrazzini II

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2011
I sauteed 1 onion, 4 cloves garlic, and 2 celery stalks in olive oil. I added 8 oz. of sliced mushrooms. I cooked elbows. I topped with butter/breadcrumb combo. This made a lot! I had enough to divide it in three dishes. **The 2nd time I made this, I used ground chicken. It was also good, but not quite as tasty as the shredded turkey breast.

Crescent Chicken Bundles

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2011
Very easy. Just froze some when our baby arrives. I added a bit of garlic powder and onion powder. I halved the whole recipe, but was still able to use 2 8 oz. cans of the crescent rolls. They were pretty full, so I couldn't imagine using only one container. * I just made this again, but I used fresh basil from my garden instead of chives (I didn't have any). It was very tasty.
