My favorite things to cook
I grew up on Armenian food so that's what I know how to cook best. I make a risotto that will bring a tear to your eye and I also make great pie.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Lamb shish kebob cooked on great-grandpa's grill every Easter with rice pilaf and Armenian green beans. Making borma (Armenian paklava) and gurabia (a cookie) with my Grandma. Making dozens of types of cookies for Christmas with my Mom.
My cooking triumphs
Learning to make borma with my Grandma. The phyllo dough is so delicate and hard to work with, but I think I finally have the hang of it.

Puff pastry. From scratch. NO. Just NO. Never again.
