Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

Rolled Buttercream Fondant

This recipe did not work out for me at all! I followed the recipe and directions, but all I got was super greasy fondant that just broke apart. It wasn't even dry and it was still breaking. Not good at all. I had to use a new recipe and toss this fondant out. :(

Rolling Fondant

This fondant is PERFECT!! I've made AR's marshmallow fondant before, and it worked out but I needed something FAST! I tried the buttercream fondant recipe from AR but it didn't work out at all, so this recipe was great for a quick fix! I followed the recipe and directions exactly and it gave me perfect, easy to roll, good tasting fondant. This is the ONLY fondant recipe I will ever use again. Thanks so much for the recipe Holly!!

Tacos in Pasta Shells

yummmmmmmm! What a great twist on tacos! They're the perfect size, just put a little sour cream on top and pop the whole thing in your mouth! The boyfriend and I gobbled these up. (recipe made as-is)

Applesauce Drop Doughnuts

yumm!! These were so easy to make and tasted so good! A lot like apple fritters. I added a whole chopped apple to the mix. YUMMY! Keep in mind that this recipe does make a lot of donuts. I made them teaspoon size, and ended up with 120 bite size donuts. It took some time but was well worth it!

Hawaiian Chicken Kabobs

I followed KAJEWSKI's tips. I soaked the skewers before using them, I also used fresh ginger, and garlic, and used rice vinegar cause that's all I had. I cut some bacon into chunks and tossed that in with the chicken and pineapple to marinate. I doubled the recipe so that I could marinate some veggies in it. While everything was on the grill I thickened up the left over marinade to brush over the food, which was a great idea. This dish is so good, very flavorful, and very easy to make.

Taco Seasoning I

I followed the recipe exactly and used GREGSGIRL63's advice for cooking the meat. Our tacos turned out sooooo good!! I wont be buying anymore store bought taco seasoning, this one is perfect.

Chocolate Cream Pie I

This pie was so good! Mine came out pretty thick, which was fine. I put in extra dark chocolate and covered the bottom of my crust with banana slices, I also topped it with banana flavored whipped cream. It was very good.. Everyone who has tried it has loved it.

Garlic Pasta

I followed the recipe almost exactly. The only thing I did differently was add less than half of the crushed red pepper. This pasta was really good BUT next time I will not add any red pepper at all. It threw off the other flavors and gave it much too spice even though I added so little.

These are very easy and fairly fast to make. I suggest holding the powdered sugar until just before you serve them because it can make them kinda soggy in the end. Good taste, reminds me of funnel cakes!

Cookie Salad I

I had this salad for the first time last month at a family dinner. I was praising my aunt for making this, I thought it was so delicious that it was the only thing i went back to get seconds of. I didn't get a chance to get the recipe from her but I just happened to stumble across it on AR! This recipe is perfect I love it!! If you make it for a party be prepared for people to ask for the recipe!! So good!

Fried Mac and Cheese Balls

Pretty good, I thought they needed something more.... I baked up some brown sugar bacon, chopped it and added it to the mac and cheese. I took them to a party and they were gone in no time. They took some effort to make but I'm sure I'll make them again, just with some more spice and flavor....

Sour Cream Sugar Cookies IV

These cookies are great! They're very soft and stay that way for days. The dough is pretty hard to work with though. Make sure you do refrigerate it overnight. I roll my dough out on wax paper sprinkled with powedered sugar instead of flour. Too much flour will make them hard. I omitted the nutmeg and used 1 Tablespoon of orange rind. This gives the cookies a great flavor, and it smells so good! I prefer to frost them with a fluffy buttercream frosting flavored with vanilla or almond.

Grandma's Lemon Meringue Pie

For the past couple of months I've been trying to make the perfect lemon meringue pie. I've tried a different recipe a couple times that just turned out soupy. Then AR came to the rescue and gave me this recipe. I followed the advice of others and used milk instead of water. The first three trys with that came out more like a pudding pie than a custard. The fourth pie I decided to use the water instead and it came out perfect!! I'm just going to go with the original recipe from now on. I do add another T of cornstarch, use 1 T lemon zest, and 1/2 c lemon juice. Make sure the first time it boils you let it boil for at least 1 or 2 minutes. The second time you bring it to a boil you'll know its thick enough when it starts to pull away from the sides of the pan. Make sure your pie filling is still hot when you top it with the meringue. Cool to room temp at least 1 hr, then refrigerate at least 3 hrs. I hope this helps anyone who had as much trouble as I did making the perfect lemon meringue pie. :)

Vanilla Crepes

these were so easy to make and tasted so yummy! I did use just a little more vanilla cause thats the way I like it. I thought they were really good alone so I just drizzled mine with a little syrup.

Hot Chocolate Mix II

I'll give it 4 stars cause I didn't use the recipe's measurements, I just went off of taste. I think I used about 7 cups of dry milk, 3 c cocoa powder and enough cups of sugar to make it sweet enough. I scooped some into individual cone shaped bags with crushed candy canes, milk chocolate and white chocolate chips, and mini marshmallows. I handed them out as gifts along with candy cane biscotti. I also make my hot cocoa with hot milk instead of water, it comes out a lot creamier and frothy.
