Royal Icing III

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2009
Great recipe for gingerbread men!!! Only thing is that it's really thick, which makes it very tough to pipe through a bag. But I toughed it out cause it was exactly the texture I was looking for. Thanks for the terrific recipe!! :)

McCormick® Gingerbread Men Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2009
Terrific recipe!!! Kind of sticky, but with a mixture of flour and a little powdered sugar it does the trick. Perfect bake time for these cookies! They came out lightly browned on the edges and nice and soft. LOVED this recipe! Thanks!!!

EXCELLENT!!!!! These cookies were easy and amazing! I saw that a couple people mentioned that the dough was really sticky, but I refrigerated it for a little over an hour and had no issue with it being sticky at all. The only thing is that the recipe says it makes 72 servings, but it really only made about 40...double the recipe if you want more...I wish I had! These cookies are very yummy and I can't wait to serve them with my pumpkin rolls! Terrific recipe!!! Thank you!!!

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2009
I'm only giving this recipe a 4 as opposed to a 5 only because it is not a traditional/typical sugar cookie recipe. Don't get me wrong...these turn out delicious and even taste like sugar cookies. However, sugar cookies are supposed to be thin and do not expand when cooked. No matter how thin you roll this dough (which is EXTREMELY hard to work with by the way...very sticky!) the cookies still expand in the oven, which is not supposed to happen with sugar cookie dough. Because of this I would recommend the use of bigger cut-outs...do not try to use small, detailed cookie cutters. Like many of the other people who reviewed this recipe I also used powdered sugar to work with the dough instead of the flour as to not compromise the taste of the cookie. I also found with using powdered sugar that it creates a barely noticeable flakey sugar coating that makes the cookie taste even better. I will definitely use this recipe again (I had to freeze half the dough 'cause I was done making cookies after 4 hours, haha), but not if I'm wanting to make sugar cookies. Thank you for the tastey cookie recipe!

Chinese Chicken Fried Rice II

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2009
I'm giving this 4 stars only because I didn't think it tasted at all like chinese chicken fried rice that I've gotten at any chinese restaurant. Other than that, it's a really tasty dish and quite quick and easy to make. However, I did add more chicken than the recipe called for only because I was using it as a main dish and needed it to be a bit more filling. Overall, I was pretty satisfied with this recipe. Thank you! :)

Mini Pineapple Upside-Down Cakes

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2009
These were absolutely delicious! I didn't have to change one thing. I also had no problem getting them out of the pan...they slid right out the minute I flipped them upside down. I had been craving pineapple upside down cake for over a month (no exaggeration!) and just decided to make them since I hadn't tried this recipe out yet. I was more than satisfied and shared them with mine and my fiance's family. Everyone LOVED them! Thank you so much!

Chicken Scampi II

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2009
WOW! I only wish I had a bigger frying pan to make a larger amount! The only thing I did with this recipe was add about 1/4 cup of white wine (and that's only because I was drinking it while I was cooking and thought it would add a nice touch, haha). This recipe tasted even better than it smelled. I even warmed up the leftovers the day after and had it for lunch...just as amazing as the night before! Thanks for this terrific recipe!

Bacon Wrapped Barbeque Shrimp

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2009
These were terrific!!! The only thing I did differently was substitute BBQ seasoning with original BBQ sauce. I brushed both sides of the bacon and then wrapped the shrimp. They turned out excellent. I was sparing with the BBQ though because I didn't want to over power the other flavors but i think next time I'll use a little more. These were very yummy though. Thanks for the recipe!!

Baked Potato Skins

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2009
AMAZING!! This recipe was so yummy! I loved the seasoning mixture that was brushed over the skins before putting them in the oven. The flavor was excillent. The only thing I'll probably change next time is the amount of cheese...I LOVE cheese so I'm probably going to use more. Thank you for this terrific recipe!!

Buffalo Style Chicken Pizza

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2009
AMAZING!!!! I wasn't sure how good this would turn out...I love season's buffalo pizza so I figured I would try this. It turned out perfect. The only thing I wanna work on is the crust. I got prepared crust from mars and it just has no flavor. I'm thinking maybe next time I'll brush it with a butter/garlic/basil mixture around the edge. Thanks for this terrific recipe!!

French's® Crunchy Onion Chicken™

Reviewed: May 27, 2009
These were pretty good. Next time I may use more than two cups of the french's crunchy onions...I don't think there was enough on the chicken breasts. I had to add a lot of salt and pepper since the crunchy onions weren't enough to give it much flavor. This was still a pretty good recipe, though. Thank you. :)

Garlic Red Potatoes

Reviewed: May 27, 2009
Amazing recipe! I did have to cooke these much longer than the time recommended on the recipe. I made these with chicken and had them in as long as the chicken was in...maybe a little longer. The flavor of these was just declicious! I think the lemon juice is what made it so good in my opinion. Definitely one of my favorite side dishes! Thank you!

Quick and Easy Chicken and Rice

Reviewed: May 12, 2009
This recipe was really yummy!! I had to change a couple things but it wasn't too drastic...I didn't have any texmati rice so I just used plain white rice (didn't have the extra flavor the recipe called for but in my opinion didn't really need it...I will try that next time though) and instead of cheddar I used mozzarella (my favorite). It turned out wonderful! My fiance really enjoyed it but lathered it with garlic powder (it's what he does with everything though so I wasn't insulted). :) Thanks for the excellent recipe!!!

Bar Stool Pretzels

Reviewed: May 12, 2009
I'm sure these would have turned out a little better if maybe I cooked them longer. Reading everyones reviews before I made them had me so nervous about burning them that I think I undercooked them so they were kind of stale more than they were crunchy. Either way they still had a really good flavor to them. I'll definitely make these again but just cook them to the time in the recipe as opposed to going by what others have said.

Brown Sugar Smokies

Reviewed: May 12, 2009
This recipe was so good I had to make it twice in one day! My fiance and I were holding a house warming over the weekend and I fix these as one of the many finger foods available...I'm not exhagerating when I say that they were gone maybe 10 minutes after I put them out. Luckily I had a lot of stuff leftover so I just hopped into the kitchen and made more since they're so easy to make. My grocery store didn't have any of the sausage ones available so I grabbed the mini beef franks and they worked just as well although I know they would be even better with sausage. Either way...AMAZING recipe!!!!

Chris' Bay Area Burger

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2009
These burgers were great! Excellent flavor. The only thing I changed was using only one fresh clove of garlic as opposed to two...garlic can be pretty overbearing if you use too much. Other than that this recipe is perfect. I had a leftover burger the next day and chopped in up into my mac and cheese (kind of a hamburger helper effect) and it added such a great taste to a boring dish. Awesome burgers!!!
