Chicken Parmigiana

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2014
Personally, you do not need this much spaghetti sauce. Save some of it for the side dish of pasta. You will want to add some seasonings to the bread crumbs: Garlic powder, oregano, pepper, or something because it did not have a lot of classic flavors. You should also add the parmesan to the bread crumbs and then top with some more with the mozzarella.

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff I

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2014
It was good but a tad bit on the salty side. I would double or triple if putting this in the slow cooker.

Slow Cooker Baby Back Ribs

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2014
I will try cooking on low next time for 8 hours. High heat just didn't make it as tender as it should have been. Popping them into the oven did add a good amount of flavor.

Mini Cheesecakes I

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2014
Not what I was looking for. The crust was off and the cheesecake was too sweet and not enough tang.

Chicken Cordon Bleu II

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2014
I placed the chicken wrapped with ham and swiss into the slow cooker first (low for 4 hours). Then, I poured about 1/2 of the cream mixture (used half and half) on top and it was plenty. Very tasty!

Banana Bars

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2014
Personally I want mine to be dense. I used 1 1/2 bananas and I could barely taste them. IF I attempt this recipe again, I would use at least 2 large bananas and add an extra egg.

Honey Roasted Red Potatoes

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2014
I doubled the honey and dry mustard and it tasted fantastic! Depending on the size of your potatoes, you may need to cook them for a bit longer.

These brussel sprouts were tasty however I think I may substitute the olive oil for thick bacon cut into chunks.

Beef Tips and Noodles

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2014
Delicious! I made it twice, once as written and then the second time I tried it with golden mushroom soup instead of cream of mushrooms. Maybe next I will double the beef and use one can of each. Very good recipe!

Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2014
It was tasty but I did need to add a bit of black pepper and a little bit of garlic powder. We served over 100% whole wheat egg noodles. I put it in the slow cooker when I got home early from work but would be home late due to meetings and appointments. It was nice to come home to delicious food.

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2014
When searching for this recipe I was wanting to find ways to use up cooked turkey breast. About once a week I roasted a bone-in turkey breast and wanted another healthy dish or two. Instead of boiling the meat with vegetables, I sauteed them all and then added the turkey. Kept the onion/flour/butter mixture the same. The filling is absolutely delicious! We will be making this quite often.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2013
Best. Recipe. Ever. Absolutely delicious! I needed a bit more water but other than that it was pure perfection. You could definitely add some vegetables too but try the original recipe first.

Asian Orange Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2013
There is no need for one full cup of brown sugar, reduce to 3/4 cup or even less. I also reduced the lemon juice and vinegar by able a tablespoon each. Add sauce right before serving.

Slow-Cooker Pepper Steak

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2013
Fantastic, just absolutely delicious! I was sure I would think the beef was delicious but not too certain about the peppers, oh was I wrong. The peppers, which I added after 2 hours (total 4 on low), were so tender and soaked up all of the juices. I used 2 green, 1 yellow, 1 orange, and 1 red pepper with sliced rump roast and served it with some brown rice. We will be making this again and again!

Very tasty. I used boneless chicken breast and thighs, both worked well. I omitted the salt from the sauce and it tasted just fine.

French Onion Soup Gratinee

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2013
Holy sodium! No way would I make this without low sodium or no salt added ingredients. I used unsalted broth and butter, plus I omitted the asiago/mozzarella cheese. It is quite delicious! Some reviewers have said that the sweet onions make it too sweet but I personally liked that little sweetness. Will make the reduced sodium version again.

English Muffins

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2013
This is an ok recipe but it does need to be altered! We make them with 100% whole white wheat flour and honey. Extremely delicious! Instead of rolling the dough I put it in a log and sliced. Reduce flour to 5 cups, increase liquid and yeast by an additional 50%. After making this both in the oven and stove top I must say that the oven is definitely better. Some say that pan frying them will get you the nooks and crannies but it does not. In fact, they rise much more in the oven and have more nooks and crannies because of this. PLUS, the recipe states to pan fry them for 10 minutes each side, mine were quite brown after 5 minutes on medium heat. The second batch I moved the heat down quite a bit and they were still brown way before the 10 minute mark. Put them in the oven at 350 for 7-8 minutes each side.
