Marinated Grilled Shrimp

Ive had this recipe saved for months and just now tried it. I cant believe I have passed this one up for so long.One of the easliest and best recipes from this site. I served it with the balsamic glazed filet from this site, but the shrimp ruled! Next time I'll try it with or in Pasta!

Turkey Pot Pie II

This is one of my favorite recipies on here. It is so easy and so good! I did not expect much from this, based on the ingredients. I sauteed fresh garlic w/the onion in a tbsp of butter. I added salt, pepper and some garlic powder to it, but thats it....This is so easy and my family loves it.

World's Best Lasagna

If I could rate this recipe 10 stars I would! I followed the recipe exactly as written and it was perfect. This is the best lasagna I have ever tasted! I use this site all the time and have some favorites on here, but this is BY FAR the best of the best! Thank you so much, John for sharing your wonderful recipe.

Candied Sweet Potatoes

OMG! THESE ARE SO GOOD! I accidently added all of the marshmallows to the melted butter mixture. It was so good....My son who never likes the holiday sweet potatoes loved these too. They were a bit sweeter then we're used to, but we loved them.

Yummy Honey Chicken Kabobs

I had some trouble gilling these. I used metal skewers and had a really hard time turning them. The meat kept spinning around....I didnt think I was gonna serve them because of how un evenly they cooked but when I brought them inside and tasted one, I loved them...My son did too. I added mushrooms to them also, but didnt marinade the vegies until the last ten minutes or so. They turned out great. Next time I will try wooden skewers for sure.

Mom's Best Macaroni Salad

Mmmm! This is really good! However...I cannot imagine how sweet it would be if you ad the sugar. I left it out all together and Im glad I did. It still borders on too sweet...but its really good. I will cut the condensed milk down a bit next time I make it.

Banana Cream Pie I

I made this exactly as written and it was AMAZING! I loved the pudding and wouldnt change a thing about that. Alot of stirring involved, so for those who didnt get the right consistancy it may be because you didnt give it long enough on the stove..on med high. Stir Stir Stir. What I will change next time is the bananas. I thought there was to much banana for my taste so next time I will reduce it to 3 and mash them and mix them into the pudding. I didnt like the layer of bananas the next day, so that should resolve that. Other then the that I thought it was a great recipe and will be making this for years to come. Thanks!

Chocolate Cookie Cheesecake

This cake was amazing. I made it almost exactly as written and everthing was fine. Only thing different for me was (1) I used a 9 in pan instead of 10. (2) I divided the oreos for the crust using half with cream and half without and (3) I only used half of the cinnamon. After baking it, it was really late so (4) I refrigerated it and did the chocolate topping the next day. Then, I let it sit in the frig for another day after that. I had no problem with there being to much filling and had plenty of room for the chocolate too....maybe it helped letting the cake settle and fall a little. Next time I think I may leave out the cinnamon and maybe only do plain oreo's for crust. The crust was the only part that didnt totally knock my socks off. With that said, this was a total show stopper and my guests were totally impressed!!! Thank you so much for this wonderful recipe.

Sam's Famous Carrot Cake

Amazing. I left out the raisins and cooked it in two round cake pans. I reduced the time by 15 min as someone else suggested and it was great. I made a basic cream cheese frosting but added 1/2 of the juice of a lemon to it, and it was wonderful!

Cannoli Cake Roll

I didnt have the right size pan so my cake turned out a little bigger than it should have and because of that, my filling wasnt as thick as I would have liked it. I follwed the advice of others and drained the ricotta on a cheese cloth in the regrig for over an hour and the consistency of the filling was perfect...Not runny at all. I used reg size choc chips and used a food processer to make them more fine. Next time I might ad a little extra to the filling. One thing missing in the directions was what to do with the TBSP of sugar at the end, so I added about 1 tbsp to the nuts and choc for the topping plus I added a big dash to my whipped cream topping because I prefer it a bit sweeter. The cake was good the night I served it But it was GREAT the second day!!! MUCH better! Next time I will definatly make at least two days in advance. It needs the time for the flavors to come together.

Cranberry Orange Cookies

OH MAN! This is the best cookie Ive ever had! Its buttery and crispy on the edges and has a zesty taste to it, but not over powering at all. Wonderful! I added pecans instead of walnuts and I halved the recipe. There is no way half would have made 24 cookies though. I should have done the full recipe.

Blackened Chicken

LOVE THIS seasoning! Only made a few changes; I did almost everyting X4. I subtracted the cayenne by 1/4 tsp. Also, I didnt have onion powder, only onion salt, so I used less salt and added 1/8 x 3 of onion salt. Let me tell you how good this is on shrimp and fish!!!! Holy cow me and my son could eat this every day of the week. The shrimp is amazing cold, the next day too. Cant get enough of this....thank you for sharing.:) Just a side note; I lightly coat the shrimp and fish in cocnut oil, put just a touch in a frying pan too, to blacken. Coconut oil is SO good for you! Much better choice than anything else...

Broccoli and Cauliflower Casserole

I tried this for Thanksgiving and it was everyones favorite side dish! I did follow the advice of some of the other reviews and cut the butter to 1 stick and cut the amount of cheese in half. It was so good!! I made this a day in advance and topped with crackers just before baking. So easy and delish!!

White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake

10 Stars!!!! This was the best desert Ive ever tasted. I was afraid of the rasberyy sauce because I thought it would be to bitter, but it wasnt...infact it made the desert. The recipe didnt say whether to use sweeted or unsweeted rasberries so I used unsweeted and added a little extra sugar to taste. The crust was a little too moist so I might adjust the butter next time. I used generic oreos and scraped the cream out of them and crushed in a food proccesor. I aslo used a big handful of extra white chocolate chips because others said they couldnt taste the white chocolate. Im telling you.....This was the best desert Ive ever had.

Christmas Breakfast Sausage Casserole

I didnt have high expectations because it seemed too simple to be that good. Boy was I wrong....this was the star at my christmas brunch. They raved more about this than the ham! Let me tell you what I did; I used french bread, cut into cubes instead of sliced bread. I thought i blew it because I accidently added 6 CUPS instead of the 6 slices, it called for. I added a handful of the mexican blend of cheese from costco and then a little over a cup of sharp cheddar. I added 1 extra egg and only used 1 cup of half and half instead of 2 c milk. I added a few tbsp of chopped green onion and that is is! So easy. Next time I make this I would do it exactly the same way. What a great recipe!
