The Best Chicken Salad Ever

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2013
This was a good recipe. It didn't "wow" me - it just seemed like all the other chicken salad recipes missing an "it" factor. I did use the low fat mayo and fat free slaw dressing. Perhaps the lack of fat is why I wasn't won over? I will make this again as it is easy, until I find "the" recipe that I am looking for.

Sopapilla Cheesecake Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2012
This was fantastic. I didn't have Mexican Vanilla so I doubled my normal vanilla to 2 tsp. I also bake mine longer, could just be difference in ovens, but just keep my eye on it until it is browned. HUGE HIT! Everyone always gobbles this up and asks for the recipe. Thank you!

Perfect Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2011
WHAT A WASTE! None of this turned out. I followed the instructions to a "T" and it was a disaster! The cake was crumbly - not dry, which was weird, but totally fell apart. The taste was NOT worth the effort of doing it "by scratch" rather than purchasing the mix in a box. My family couldn't even tell the difference. The icing was also a hot mess. Overall it was a giant waste of time, money, and effort. I'll stick to the box of mix and make our own frosting.

Chicken and Bacon Chowder

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2011
This is WONDERFUL! I did have to add more broth to cover the veggies - I acually had to double it. Other than the broth and adjusting the salt/pepper to my family's taste I left recipe as is and it was FANTASTIC! Will be making regularly!

Make Ahead Breakfast Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2010
Prepared exactly as directed with egg whites and skim milk. I was worried it would look icky without egg yolks - no problem! Mine took closer to and hour and a half to set in the middle. Delish! Everyone loves and was happy it was a healthy breakfast unlike many casseroles. THanks

Buffalo Chicken Wing Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2010
Excellent. Cut milk back as others suggested because we also like things creamier. Used entire bottle of Franks Wing sauce - was a bit too spicey for me but husband loved. Will use a little less next time. Also, dumped in some veggies to give it more of a bulk - onion, celery, corn, beans, etc... Very easy to make the way you like it. Will use again. Oh, and freezes great! I seperate soups into individual containers and freeze and this reheats just fine.

Sour Cream Pork Chops

Easy! Kids liked, husband liked, I liked! I did need to add more flour to thicken the sauce but other than that I followed the recipe and won't change a thing next time either. Chops were so tender!!

Nothing special. I gave it 4 stars because it is easy and because everyone liked it. There wasn't a "wow" factor so couldn't give 5. Will probably make again because all ingredietns are very easy to have on hand.

World's Best Bacon Cheese Dip

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2009
My friend said "This is like spinach artichoke dip - but without the healthy stuff!!" Hahaha, yes, it was a crowd pleaser! May actually add "healthy stuff" and see how it is - I don't think it is possible to mess this one up!

Breakfast Casserole I

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2009
Easy! I have really thin, disappointing bread because we are on a diet. I don't know if I would bother with it next time or might be worth a trip for real bread!! Used egg sub. and worked fine. Used frozen broccoli which added to the cook time because the water from it made it runny. Turned out fine! Next time will either defrost or plan on baking longer. Big crowd pleaser, made a ton, everyone was satisfied. Will try with asparagus as well. Thanks for a good one!

Slow Cooker Lime Chicken with Rice

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2009
Tried this because I had most things on hand. Had to use oregano because that is all I had. Added an onion because of the reviews about being bland. I do not understand how people had dry chicken?! I could have doubled the chicken and still had plenty of broth the keep it juicy. Came out tender and falling apart - delish! Didn't have instant rice so did that stove top. Yes, a bit bland but so easy and most things are staples so will make again. Good base recipe to customize. Maybe with some carrots and potatoes?

Jezebel Dip

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2009
This was so simple to make. I agree, it made a ton of "sauce" so I split the cream cheese down the middle to attempt to double it. Next time I will half the sauce or double the cream cheese. Everyone enjoyed the taste - but yes, you would have to like horseradish. Will make again.

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2009
FABULOUS! I make this regularly and follow the recipe as is. I wouldn't change a thing. We like to use the lime flavored tortilla chips - kids like to eat this "soup" - which is more like a chili consistancy - by scooping up with tortilla chips. Everyone always loves it! Great for large groups.

Country Breakfast Casserole

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2009
Make this dish just as it is written. Delish! I have to bake it longer - one hour to an hour and fifteen minutes, but I prepare everything the night before and then assemble so perhaps it is because the sausage is not warm. Regardless, it's easy and yummy.

Cheese Ring

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2009
I make this regularly and once you get people to try it it will go fast! I pick an air tight container the size of what I want the shape to be, spray w/ cooking spray, and put the cheese in that. I always make this a day or two before I am going to serve it to let the flavors blend. Then, it is ready to go and I pop it out onto a serving tray, spread jam, and I prefer to top with chopped nuts. Sometimes if I am taking it somewhere I serve it right out of the container - which is even easier! Thanks for a great recipe!
