Cinnamon Rolls II

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2013
CAME OUT GREAT!!!! I didn't have a bread machine so I just made it by hand. And they were wonderful. Although they did indeed take about 3 hours to prepare. Instead of using a bread machine I simply combined the warm water and milk with the Yeast and let it sit for 10 minutes. Then I Added the milk, butter and egg. And added all the dry ingredients that I had mixed. It is a little loose. But you can kneed more flour into it. Then I put it in a lightly greased bowl and let it set for 1 hour in a warm place. Punched it down and followed the directions at step 2. I also used Brown Sugar rather than white for spreading and used Pecans instead of walnuts. It was a HUGE HIT. Will DEFINATELY MAKE AGAIN!!

Peanut Butter Balls II

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2011
Great Recipie! Simple to make. Easy to decorate. Yummy too!! As for the recipie itself you need more chocolate to coat than it calls for. Thankfully I had extra chocolate on hand to melt otherwise I wouldn't have had enough coat the balls. Using a toothpick to dip them and freezing them to firm up is The best thing for dipping them easily. I also liked the milk chocolate better with the peaunt butter. I wanted a little less sugar in these because I wasn't fond of it with all four cups so I added a 1/4 cup of Peanut Butter and 1/2 cup of crushed graham crackers. Still had an amazing texture. Also if you want to drizzle with peanut butter take chips and melt with shortening or Peanut butter to give a loose consitancy to drizzle over the balls. These are my new go to for gifts and any event.

Adobo Chicken with Ginger

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2012
I was looking for a dish to make for girl scout international Night (we did the Philippines). And I found this. WOW this went over fantastically. I did 10 lbs and came home with less than a cup. I did follow the recomended changes. (used 1/4 cup Apple Cider Vinegar added 1 cup water. Used ground ginger). This has been added to our main dishes to cook. WOW amazing.

Sweet Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: May 13, 2013
WONDERFUL!!!! I have always stayed away from making yeast rolls by hand. I found some good frozen ones you thaw out. I decided to try my hand at these. I didn't have a bread machine so I just made these in my mixer. WONDERFUL. I gave some to my mom. And NONE were left in my house. This will probably be my new go to roll recipe. THANKS for posting it.

Old-Fashioned Pancakes

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2013
Can I just say WOW. I will never go back to boxed pancake mix. WOW. These came out light and fluffy and delicious. They make 8 pancakes when using 1/3 cup. My kids love helping me make them. And they love watching them puff up. when I flip those. I followed the recipe exactly and they came out perfect. They are so good we haven't even started adding fruit or even chocolate chips. I have to also say after watching the video of chef John. my pancakes come out a LOT fluffier. and a LOT thicker. I don't know why but they do.

Soy and Garlic Marinated Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2009
Tasted great and was simple to make. It was to wet here to grill out. So I backed it on 350 for 20 minutes. I used some of the advise. I added 1/4 Olive oil, 1 tsp ground ginger and since i was out of fresh garlic I used Garlic in a jar with the oil and used 2 TBSP of minced jar garlic. and 1 TBSP of Brown sugar. it balanced the soy sauce nicely. I served it with rice and it was a huge hit. It will be a repeat for my family.

Easter Egg Dipper Treats™

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2011
This was good but Really difficult to deal with. The eggs were hard to shape and I used a plastic egg as another reciewer had suggested. And it was so difficult. This year instead I'm going to lay it out flat and use cookie cutters to cut into egg shapes and then let the kids decorate the eggs.

Sweet, Sticky and Spicy Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2011
LOVE THIS. My husband is a huge fan of this. But I do suggest you use low sodium soy sauce or it will be really salty. But after that adjustment its a delicious dish.

Cocoa Rub

Reviewed: May 24, 2012
This is a wonderful reciepe. And the flavors are FANTASTIC. I only gave this 4 stars because as written is far to much salt. So I would suggest decressing the salt. It is also not made for the spice sissy as it has a pretty good kick. I'll be lowering the ground pepper as well. But the flavors are on point. Wonderful and I will try again.

Basic Flaky Pie Crust

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2012
So I have NEVER EVER baked a pie crust from scratch. I have always bought it already in the pan and added my own fillings. (yes I know it was cheating! lol). I tried this recipe and it was pretty great. Flaky, manageable. I only came across two problems. It needs more salt. And after looking I will be doubling the Salt. and needed a little bit more flavor. So I will be using Butter or Butter flavored shortening next time.

Honey Glazed Ham

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2011
This was easy to do but not worth the time. normally in our house ham is devoured but with this glaze no one even came back for seconds. It was to bitter and to butter. It was not the sweet honey taste I thought it would have.

Spiderweb Brownies

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2010
It was too gooey and I did not care for this at all. And it didn't taste all that good either. I tried this a few times and each time had the same results. Sticky gooey and a huge mess.
