Green Bean Okazu

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2014
I ate green bean Okazu growing up in hawaii. This is a great basic go-to recipe. To make it fantastic and add more depth to this dish, here are the changes I made: 1 1/2 cups tomato sauce, 2 t black pepper, 1 med chopped onion, 1 T granulated garlic, 1/2 cup of cooking Sherry. Then it add a touch more soy sauce and sugar to balance out what I added. Ono grinds with sticky rice!! Ps, I insist on the cooking sherry, it brings everything together! Yum!

Broccoli Rice Casserole

Reviewed: May 26, 2014
Tried this for the second time tonight and still love it. I made my own adjustments and listened to the reviews adding for adding more flavor...added granulated garlic. I put 1/2 the amount of of cheese and as one reviewer I read had done I added subbed milk for water. I used cooked wild rice instead as well. I agree that cooking instructions are way too much work and it comes out just as good if you just throw everything together! Great side dish served with chicken!

Creamy Cajun Shrimp Pasta

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2010
My husband really loves this one! I like to use a little half and half… it makes it creamier. I gave it four stars because it does NOT need that much cajun seasoning-- we love spicy, but 2 T was just overpowering.

Cajun Seafood Pasta

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2009
My husband LOVES this recipe... I had to make some changes though... added a T of garlic, halved the parsley, went a little lighter on the thyme and salt, and added a hint of butter and an 1/8 cup of cornstarch/water mixture to thicken it a bit. This is a definite winner for guests and a new family favorite!
